The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The Maps below show the layout of a university's sports centre now and how it will look in future after renovation.

Overall, the reception, pool and its seating will remain same after the redevelopment work, but major changes will be done as outdoor courts are replaced with areas for other activities.

Comparing the both layouts, 25m pool, reception below the pool, changing room and seating on the either sides will remain same. Majorly, outdoor courts on the west in the present map will be replaced with leisure pools in future. In addition to this, a new changing room and sports shop in the left bottom corner will be added as well

On the other hand, space covered for outdoors courts on the east , will be converted into sports hall, two dance studios, cafe and changing room on the right bottom corner. Moreover area for the gym on top will be extended.
