IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Comparing the two layouts, the present plan has three separate structures that are detached from each other. It has a large complex which is sectioned into facilities including a changing room, a gym, a reception area, a seating area and a pool located in the middle of these areas. A detached outdoor courts is located on the left side of the complex whiles the the outdoor courts is located on the right side.

Comparably the future layout has all the facilities in one big complex. There are two pools including a leisure pool and a 25m pool in the future plan. Both pools have separate changing rooms. There are gym, sports hall and seating areas located close to the 25m pool. The future plan contains two separate dance studios, and another changing room. At the immedidate enterance of the fure sports centre are the reception, sports shop and cafe areas.
