The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

This document shows the univesity's sport area in the present along with the planned redevopment.

Overall, the sport centre has a reception, a 25 m pool, a gym, seatings to the east and changing rooms to the west.There are also two outdoor courts to theleft and right sides.

The future plans include replacing the eastern outdoor courts with two dance studios, a sports hall and providing them with a seperate changing room.The gym area will be extended to the east. Just in the entrance, a café will be established to the east, and a sports shop will open to attract costumors making the place not only a sports centre but also a commercial type of mall. Especially for the kids and teenagers , a leisure pool and a changing room will be present in the place of the western outdour courts. There, they will , swim and rewind on the hot summer days
