The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The picture illustrates the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Overall, it is clear that the university will go under major redevelopment and new infrastructures will be added. The outdoor courts will be replaced by a leisure pool with a changing room and a sports hall with two dance studios with a changing room. Furthermore, through enterance a sports shop and a cafe will get added as well.
To begin with, the present sports centre has a 25m pool at the center with a changing room, a gym and a seating area with a reception. Outside the building has two outdoor courts to the western side and eastern side of the complex.
After redevelopment major changes will be done to the outdoor courts. In the new plan the western outdoor court will get a leisure pool with a changing room and in the eastern court new sports hall with two dance studios with a changing room will get added. Followed by, new sports shop and cafe will get added near reception.
