The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The maps illustrate the current layout of the universiity sports complex and the proposed redevelopment pln.

Overall, the sports complex will undergo significant redevelopment. The two outdoor courts will be replaced by several new facilities, including a leisure pool, a sports hall, dance studios, changing rooms, a sports shop, and a café. Meanwhile, the reception, 25-metre swimming pool, seating area, and one changing room will remain in their current locations, while the gym will be slightly expanded.

At present, the sports complex consists of a reception at the entrance, a 25-metre swimming pool in the centre, seating to the east of the pool, a gym in the south-east corner, and a changing room in the south-west. In addition, there are two outdoor courts located on the western side of the complex.

Under the proposed redevelopment, the outdoor courts will be removed to make way for several new facilities. A large leisure pool will be constructed in the north-west corner. Two additional changing rooms will be built, one in the south-west and the other in the south-east. Upon entering the complex, visitors will find a sports shop on the left of the entrance and a café on the right. Furthermore, a spacious sports hall will be built on the eastern side, next to the seating area. Two dance studios will also be developed in the north-east corner, adjacent to each other. Finally, the gym will be extended slightly towards the east, while the reception, swimming pool, seating area, and the existing changing room will remain unchanged
