IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given diagram illustrates the floor map comparison between existing sports centre and how it will look after redevelopment of a university.
The diagram at top clearly mentions its the current layout of university building where there are two outdoors courts at left and right of the main building and the main building includes several area like gym, seating, reception and changing room which are all attached with the four walls and there is also a 25m swimming pool at the center of that same building.
Similarly, the layout at the bottom is about how will the building look like after its renovation in several areas. In this future plan layout both the outdoor courts are completely removed from the university and instead the single main building is extended to its left and right with a more simple and organized manner. I find future layout plans to be strong choice.
