IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The blurprint illustrates the present layout of a colleges sports center and also the future plan of the sports center.
It is observed that the sport center has added more modern facilities to their future plans, the outdoor courts are been replaced with more rooms that will hold extra activities. However the 25m pool, changing room, reception and the gym still remains at the same position.
The outdoor courts located at the left hand side is been redeveloped into various sections which includes leisure pool, changing room and sports shop. While, outdoor courts by the East was reconstructed to include a sports hall, 2 dance studios by the side of each other located to the Northeast, a changing room to the southeas then a little cafe shop between the entrance and the changing room.
The facilities at the center which includes 25m pool, changing room, reception and the gym still remains at the same position. However, the gym width is been exteneded more to the right hand corner.
