IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagrams illustrate the infrastructure of a university's sprts centre now and how it will look after renuvation. Overall, present sports centre have lesser facilities, outdoor courts on east and west contains maximum area whereas, future plans have many different facilities with two pools, sports hall and dance studios.
At present sports centre, maximum space occupies by outdoor courts. Centre building is for pool, at the front there is a reception area. On the east side a seating place and on west a changing room pool is in the centre, the depth of pool is 25m while behind the pool a small gym.
Whereas, the future renuated sports centre will look huge with many facilities. all the area will cover, there will not outdoor courts like present centre. In addition, main gate will same but a cafe at on the east and sports shop on west, reception in the centre of them. The west side outdoor court will convert into a leisure pool along changing room while east side outdoor court replace by two dance studios along chaning room and a big sports hall in front of studios. The centre pool and the chainging room with that will remain same, the gym will have increased area and should a door at east coridoor.
