The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The information regarding the transformation of a university's sports centre from present time to future is depicted by a map.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that there are significant changes which will happen in future, where outdoor courts will demolish completely and leisure pool will be estabhlished.
To commence with, in present time there is a 25cm pool surrounded by a gym, seating area, changing room and a reception in the middle of sports centre. While the seating area, changing room and a reception will remain unchange in future, the gym will expand towards east. On the west, outdoor courts will be completely reconstructed into a leisure pool and new changing room at the southwest corner.
Moving further, at the south direction of central part, area in front of reception will be expanded and a cafe as well as a sports shop will be introduced. There is outdoor court on east side of centre, which in future will be replaced with sports hall, two dance studios as well as a new changing room.
