Overall, the present university sports centre involves less necesseties for student and engaging there where are centre planned for future includes all new and different activities from the previous one.

The current centre has reception which is on the entrence, and on the left it has seating area. On the left of the reception, changing room is also there. The pool, which is of 25m is also been placed in the centre of seating and changing room. Across the pool, the gym has also been made. Both the east and west sides include two areas of outdoor courts.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by summarizing the main features of the university sports centre now and in the future, earning credit for covering key changes such as the expansion into former outdoor courts, the addition of the leisure pool, sports hall, dance studios, and café. An overview is attempted in the second paragraph, touching on the general shift towards expanded facilities. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed or imprecise, such as describing the spatial relationships rather loosely (e.g., 'Across the pool, the gym has also been made'). To reach a higher band, the response would need a more cohesive and detailed overview that clearly highlights the most significant overarching transformations, such as the indoor footprint doubling in size to accommodate multiple new recreational zones.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the information chronologically, dividing the description into the present layout and future plans, supported by an introductory and an overview paragraph. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty. For instance, referencing devices are occasionally unclear, such as repetitive phrases like 'on the left' and 'beside' without smooth transitional signposting. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved to ensure a more seamless progression of spatial details. To progress, the writer should employ a wider and more sophisticated variety of cohesive devices and ensure that spatial transitions guide the reader effortlessly across the map details.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is minimally adequate for the task, successfully conveying basic spatial and architectural features like 'reception', 'changing room', 'gym', and 'outdoor courts'. However, the range of lexical resources is limited, and there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'necesseties' instead of 'facilities' or 'amenities', 'entrence' for 'entrance', and 'plas' for 'plans'. The student also attempts less common vocabulary ('redevelopment', 'activities'), but these attempts are occasionally imprecise or repetitive. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their vocabulary range, incorporate more precise academic collocations related to spatial descriptions (e.g., 'situated', 'adjacent to', 'replaced by'), and eliminate spelling errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, attempting complex formulations such as 'The picture shows the university's sport centre in current position and its future plans that how that is going to be reheaded...'. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly regarding article usage, preposition selection within grammatical patterns (e.g., 'in current position'), and awkward relative clauses. While these errors rarely impede overall communication—allowing the general meaning to be understood—they persist throughout the text. To reach the next level, the writer needs to increase the proportion of error-free complex sentences and exercise better control over verb tense consistency, subject-verb agreement, and articles.
