Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main transformation: the outdoor courts are replaced by indoor facilities, including a leisure pool, sports hall and dance studios, while the central 25m pool and reception remain. You also mention the gym’s expansion and new changing rooms, so the response covers the key overall changes. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: the leisure pool is on the west, not simply “on the left” without a clear comparison, and the sports hall is east of the seating rather than “in the center.” The café is in the south-east, but it is not described as replacing the eastern courts. The claim that changes are intended to attract new students is not shown in the plans. A more precise overview and clearer location comparisons would strengthen the report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an overall sequence, moving from a general summary to descriptions of the left and right sides, and phrases such as “Overall” and “On the left hand side” help signal the organisation. However, progression is weakened by repetition: the leisure pool, sports shop, café, gym and unchanged pool/reception are mentioned more than once. Some connections between ideas are unclear, particularly “Sports hall will be create on the right side of map or in the center,” where the alternatives conflict. Several sentences run together without appropriate spacing or punctuation, making relationships between features harder to follow. Organise the report into a concise overview and separate west-side and east-side details, using clear location references and avoiding repeated information.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for describing a plan, including “converted,” “remained,” “created,” and “north east corner,” and the reader can generally identify the facilities being discussed. However, word choice and spelling errors sometimes make the description less clear or less natural. For example, “dress changing room” is not an appropriate description, “sports kit changing room” is unclear, and “pool and reception remained on same level” does not accurately express that they stay in the same positions. There are also spelling errors such as “exsists” and “atraction,” alongside repetition of “new” and “changed.” Use precise terms such as “additional changing room,” “sports shop,” and “remain in their original positions,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, but control of sentence structure and verb forms is inconsistent. For example, “the way it will looks” has an incorrect verb form, while “Sports hall will be create” uses the wrong passive form. Articles and agreement are also missing or inaccurate in phrases such as “pool in the center” and “two new dance studio.” Some sentences lack clear grammatical links, as in “Overall, Outdoor courts converted into leisure pool and developed 1 new dress changing room.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries also need attention, with several ideas joined by full stops or run together. Practise accurate future passive forms (“will be converted,” “will be added”) and build complete sentences around each location and change.
