Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main change: the centre expands into the former outdoor-court areas and gains facilities such as a leisure pool, sports hall and dance studios. You also note that some existing facilities remain. However, several details are unclear or inaccurate: the pool is described as “capture 25 m of the sport area,” and the present layout’s gym, seating and changing room are not located clearly. The future description also omits the gym’s eastward extension and the two new changing rooms, while “two dance studio” does not make their north–south arrangement clear. The overview is present but vague (“significantly change”). To develop the report further, state the main spatial changes accurately and compare the original and planned layouts more explicitly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure, moving from an introduction and overview to the present layout and then the future plan. This gives the reader some sense of progression. However, the organisation within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several locations are described imprecisely, and the sequence of details is not consistently spatial. Linking phrases such as “followed by,” “in additionally,” and “on others hand” are either awkward or do not clearly show the relationship between features. The final sentence, “however others facility will be same as a now,” is a useful comparison but is too general. Grouping details by west, centre and east, and using clear transitions such as “In the centre” and “On the eastern side,” would make the account easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt relevant map vocabulary, including “layout,” “facilities,” “leisure pool,” “sports hall,” “dance studio” and “reception.” This shows some awareness of the language needed for describing plans. However, the range is limited and many spelling or word-choice errors make meaning difficult to recover, for example “plants” for “plans,” “reading development” for “redevelopment,” “lasisures,” and “pull” for “pool.” Phrases such as “date sheet” and “vast mejority of facility” are not suitable descriptions of the map. Some repetition of “side” and “facility” also limits precision. Build a reliable set of location phrases and check spelling and collocations; accurate terms such as “former outdoor courts” and “the eastern side” would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You make an effort to use both simple statements and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence structure and verb forms often make relationships hard to understand: “The university will has several change” and “add a vast mejority of facility will be available” do not form clear grammatical clauses. Articles, plurals and agreement are also frequently problematic, as in “a cafe,” “two dance studio,” and “others facility.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including the lower-case sentence beginning “after reading development” and the fragment-like sequence “in additionally.” These errors sometimes impede communication, particularly when describing where features are located. Practise accurate present and future forms, plural nouns, and complete sentences, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
