Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main transformation: the outdoor courts are replaced by indoor facilities, with a leisure pool to the west and a sports hall and dance studios to the east. You also note that several central features remain unchanged, which gives the report a relevant overview. However, some details are incomplete or imprecise. The western additions include a changing room and sports shop, but the shop is not clearly located in your description; the café and additional changing room are specifically in the south-east, while the shop is in the south-west. The gym also extends eastward, a notable change you describe as unchanged. More precise coverage of these developments would make the summary more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs describing the western and eastern areas. Phrases such as “Looking first at” and “Turning to” help signal the progression, and the reader can generally follow the comparison between the current and proposed plans. Some linking is repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “In addition,” and the regional organisation is not fully consistent: the south-west additions are mentioned in the eastern paragraph, while the overview groups facilities by general location. A more deliberate sequence—central changes, west, then east and south—would make the information easier to track. Clearer references to each side of the plan would also strengthen cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant plan vocabulary, including “replaced,” “introduced,” “central area,” and “eastern side,” and the main facilities are generally identifiable. However, the range is somewhat limited and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors are noticeable. Examples include “sport centre” where “sports centre” is natural, “undergo a significant changes,” and “around the 25m pool,” which does not accurately describe the facilities’ positions. There are also misspellings such as “wertern,” “cnetre,” and “Furthuremore.” These do not usually prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and fluency. Use accurate directional language such as “to the west of” and check spelling and common collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses linked with “while” and “and,” but control is inconsistent. Errors include subject–verb agreement and tense in “the sport center undergo,” article and plural problems in “a significant changes,” and the incorrect passive construction “will be remained unchanged.” The sentence beginning “Overall.” also uses a full stop where a comma is needed, and “two new dance studio” requires a plural noun. These errors recur and sometimes make relationships between changes less clear, although the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Practise accurate past-to-future comparisons and passive forms, for example, “will remain unchanged” or “will be replaced,” while checking agreement and articles.
