Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You identify the main change—the centre expands into the areas occupied by the outdoor courts—and give an overview that new facilities will be added. Several comparisons are also relevant: the gym expands, while the reception, seating and central changing room remain in place. This covers the key purpose of the plans, with some details less fully or accurately described. For example, the sports hall is east of the seating, but the response calls it a “sport club” and places it with the dance studios in the north-east; the studios are on the eastern edge, one above the other. The claim that the reception’s area will increase is not supported by the plans. More precise locations and a clearer account of the new south-east facilities would strengthen the report.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview and two detail paragraphs. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Meanwhile,” and “Lastly” help signal movement through the changes. However, progression is not consistently clear because the details are grouped by loosely connected features rather than by areas or by present-versus-future comparisons. Some linking phrases are repetitive or do not express the relationship accurately, such as “In addition to that” and “Whereas.” References such as “both side” and “both corners” are also unclear about which locations are meant. Organise the details by west and east, or describe each area in a consistent order, and use fewer, more precise transitions to make the comparisons easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “redevelopment,” “outdoor courts,” “reception,” and “dance studios,” so the reader can generally identify the facilities being discussed. However, the range and control are limited, and several inaccurate or awkward choices reduce precision. “Sport club” does not name the sports hall shown, while “indore activities” is repeated and is not an appropriate description of the centre’s use. Phrases such as “complete new rooms” and “mean area” are also unclear in this context. Spelling errors—including “institue,” “reamined,” and “completly”—are noticeable. Build a reliable set of map-description terms and check spelling and collocations; precise labels such as “indoor facilities” and “additional changing rooms” would make the report clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “as,” “while,” and “as a result.” However, errors occur frequently and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to interpret. For example, “the expansion … will be undergone” uses an incorrect passive construction, and “the whole sports centre will going to be indore” has faulty verb forms. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence construction, as in “a education institue’s” and “the sports centre remain.” Commas are often missing after facility names and before conjunctions, which further affects readability. Practise accurate present and future forms, subject–verb agreement, and article use, then proofread each sentence for a complete, correctly punctuated structure.
