Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the redevelopment as the main change and mention several relevant features, including the leisure pool, sports shop, café, sports hall and two dance studios. You also note that some existing facilities remain in place. However, the comparison is only partial: the gym’s extension, the eastern outdoor courts being replaced, and the retained 25m pool are not clearly described. The statement that the “location and space is remain same” is also misleading, since the building expands over the former outdoor courts. The response is 136 words, below the required 150, and this limits how fully you can select and report the main features. A clearer overview and more precise coverage of the changes would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the response begins with an introduction, then describes changes on the left and right, and ends with a brief overall comment. This gives the reader a basic route through the plans. However, the progression is not consistently clear, and several details are crowded into long sentences, such as the sentence beginning “on the right side of entrence”. Connections between features are sometimes difficult to follow, particularly the relationship between the sports hall, seating and dance studios. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and the main areas, and organise the description by direction or by existing versus added facilities. More accurate linking and clearer referencing would make the comparison easier to understand.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “redevelopment”, “leisure pool”, “sports hall” and “dance studio”, which helps communicate the main subject. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the description harder to read, for example “outerdoor”, “changging”, “setting area” and “entrence”. Some expressions are also imprecise: “the location and space is remain same” does not accurately describe the expansion, while “attached with” is not a natural way to describe the sports hall’s position. Aim to use precise location language and check spelling carefully. A wider set of terms such as “to the east of”, “replace” and “extend” would help you report the plan more accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to combine ideas using clauses and connectors, for example “but” and “also”, but sentence structures are often faulty and the range remains limited. Errors in verb forms and agreement occur in “how it look after redevelopment” and “the location and space is remain same”. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in phrases such as “on the place of outerdoor will make the leisure pool”. Several sentences run on without clear punctuation, making relationships between details difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add controlled complex forms, such as “The former outdoor courts will be replaced by…” and “A sports hall will be built east of the seating area.”
