Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main transformation: the centre expands into the former outdoor-court areas, the gym grows, and new facilities are introduced. Your overview also correctly notes that the pool, reception, seating and central changing room remain in place. Most locations are reported accurately, including the leisure pool on the west and the sports hall and dance studios on the east. This covers the task well, with some features described in less detail than others: for example, the two dance studios and the relative positions of the new south-eastern café and changing room could be made clearer. The phrase “left side of entrance” is also less precise than locating the sports shop in the south-west. A more exact overview and clearer spatial comparisons would strengthen the response further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate descriptions of the present and future plans. This gives the reader a coherent overall route through the information. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear, particularly the long final paragraph, where several future changes are joined with “moreover,” “in addition,” and “with.” The sentence beginning “In the first Plan” also combines several locations without a clear sequence, and “on opposite sides” does not immediately identify which facilities are being compared. Use one paragraph for each plan and group features by area—for example, west, centre, then east. Clearer referencing and more controlled links between sentences would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant map vocabulary, including “layout,” “replaced,” “constructed,” “boundary,” and “facilities,” and you attempt a range of ways to describe change. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, such as “reinovation,” “adjecent,” “chnaging,” and “sports center.” Some choices also reduce precision: “will be available” is less suitable for describing rooms added to a plan, while “left side of entrance” is vague for a location. Aim for accurate spelling and standard collocations, and use consistent terms such as “sports centre” and “changing room.” More precise directional language would help you describe the plans without relying on general phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, such as the sentence beginning “In the future” and the overview contrasting unchanged and expanded areas. However, control is uneven, and errors in sentence boundaries, articles, agreement and verb forms sometimes make the relationships between features difficult to follow. For example, “there is gym” needs an article, while “seating and changing are also presents” has agreement and noun-form problems. The opening overview also runs several statements together with inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine related details with controlled clauses. Check articles, subject–verb agreement, and full stops before submitting.
