Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main change: the outdoor courts are replaced by indoor facilities, including a leisure pool, sports hall and dance studios, and you note that the gym expands. However, the account is only partly accurate and some important locations are unclear. The future plan retains the 25-metre pool, seating and central reception, but your description does not clearly explain that these remain in place. You also say the café is “right after the entrance,” whereas it is in the south-east area, and the added changing rooms and sports shop are not located precisely. The overview that the future plan is “identical” except for the courts understates the scale of redevelopment. A clearer overview and more accurate comparisons would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure: it describes the present layout first and then turns to the future plan. This helps the reader distinguish the two stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Where’as” and “Additionally” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. The present-plan description moves from the entrance to the pool, gym and seating without consistently anchoring each feature to its position, while “behind that” and “sequentially” make the layout harder to picture. The future paragraph combines several changes in a loose sequence, and “there are two extra changing rooms for leisure pool and sports hall” is not clearly connected to their locations. Grouping features by area and using precise spatial references would improve cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for describing plans, including “outdoor courts,” “leisure pool,” “dance studios” and “sports hall.” These terms help communicate the main facilities and show some task-specific range. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural choices are noticeable, such as “devlopment,” “diffrient,” “hanging room” and “sports center look after devlopment.” “Hanging room” is especially confusing where you mean “changing room,” and “seats” is less precise than “seating.” Repetition of general words such as “area” and “there is” also limits precision. Check spelling carefully and use standard map-description terms, especially for facilities and relative positions, to make the information easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, for example, “Instead of outdoor courts there is an extra leisure pool…” and “On the very right of pool there are seats…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in articles, agreement, tense and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some descriptions difficult to follow. Examples include “sports center look after development,” “the entrance gate … is in south,” and “a pool that ha length of 25meters.” Several sentences also run together or use punctuation inconsistently, such as the opening description of the entrance and activities. Practise building accurate sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and use consistent present and future forms when comparing the plans. Proofreading for articles and sentence boundaries would improve clarity.
