Student answer (Band 6.0)
A significant proportion of an individuals are still facing starving despite the improvements made in agriculture field. Actually, it is notable drawback and has several reasons. We can control it with various factors but it requires our concentration and passion to deal with it.
First of all, hunger is growing day by day and the most strangeful thing is that it is rising even in the modern age of technology. From my perspective, there are so many reasons of it. Initially, the negligence is showed by our administrations. For instance, governments should provide better job opportunities and should enhance the employment in our country. Furthermore, it happens due to injustice of our society such as individuals occupied other's lands. In addition, climate change is also its major cause. For example, the crops of the farmers are destroyed on a large scale in every year. Other reasons include inflation, population growth and food wastage.
On the other hand, we can also control it by making wise decisions. Firstly, government should stop making the weak policies and should make best policies with respect to modern age. Unemployment sholud be end and more opportunities should provide to our youth. Moreover, we should also avoid to waste food so that poor individuals can get it. Furthermore, crime and curruption should be controled by administrations. We can also control it by controling on increasing population and in the prices of accommodities.
In conclusion, although nowaday's hunger has several reasons but we can control it by making good policies. Consequently, now it is in our hands that how we can stop it wisely.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions: you identify possible causes, including climate change, inflation, population growth and food waste, and suggest government action, employment opportunities and reducing waste. The response stays relevant and gives a clear overall view that hunger can be reduced through better policies. However, several points are listed rather than explained. For example, the claim that people occupy others’ land is not connected clearly to food insecurity, and the proposed measures to control population growth and prices are not developed. The discussion also focuses heavily on government responsibility, with little explanation of how agricultural advances fail to reach hungry communities. Develop fewer causes and solutions with clearer explanations or examples to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. Within the body paragraphs, however, ideas are often presented as a list, and the links between them are not always clear. For instance, the move from government negligence to land injustice and then climate change would be stronger if each point were explained and connected to the central issue. Some linking expressions are also mechanical or repetitive, particularly “Furthermore” and “Moreover.” Use clearer topic sentences and refer back explicitly to how each cause or solution affects hunger.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “climate change,” “employment,” “food wastage,” “inflation” and “population growth,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “negligence” and “injustice.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling reduce precision: “strangeful thing,” “control it by controling,” “accommodities,” and “curruption” are not appropriate forms. Phrases such as “improvements made in agriculture field” and “the crops … are destroyed on a large scale in every year” also sound unnatural. Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships for this topic and checking spelling and word forms; more precise vocabulary would make the argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a subordinate clause in “although nowaday’s hunger has several reasons” and a relative clause in “so that poor individuals can get it.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the overall meaning is usually clear. Some grammatical errors remain, especially with articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence construction. For example, “a significant proportion of an individuals” has an incorrect article and plural form, while “Unemployment sholud be end” needs a passive construction. In “more opportunities should provide,” the verb form is incomplete, and “how we can stop it wisely” is awkwardly structured. Practise accurate passive forms and article use, then proofread each sentence for subject–verb agreement and complete verb phrases.
