Student answer (Band 5.0)
Despite of the advances in agriculture many people around the world still go hungray. In my prespective this may be from the poor distrubution and high prices of the food.
In many countries businessmen that are doing the busniess of grains and agriculture hide the stocks in big storages . They are waiting for the right movement when the stock prices goes high from the goverment side so they can sell it on doubble price on poor public so they can not be able to buy it so as a reasult it cause destitution and many people around the world goes hungry. However, it can also be cause by poor distrubution among the people when government give some relief for people so it cannot disturbute among the poor people.
Solution for this problem is that government need to do some legall action against those mafiaes who is hiding food for thier profit. Government need to reveal their dark faces to the public and also seal their storages and gives high fines to them so they can never do it again. Solution for the food distrubution is that government needs to forward some steps for the poor people that their entitlement can be protected and recive thier rights properly.
Overall, the eassy illustrate that we need to give food for people on affordable prices that can overcome the destitution. their are some people who sell food for for people on high prices that cause that many people goes

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions by identifying food hoarding and poor distribution as causes, then proposing government enforcement and protection of poor people’s entitlements. These are relevant ideas, but they remain limited and under-developed: for example, you do not explain why food may fail to reach hungry regions or give a concrete example of how distribution could be improved. The final paragraph repeats the affordability point rather than developing the response, and it ends unfinished. The response contains 238 words, so it is 12 words below the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each cause and solution with explanation or an example, and complete the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on solutions, and a concluding paragraph. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of your answer. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and links between ideas can feel mechanical. For instance, “However” introduces another cause rather than a contrast, while the long sentence beginning “They are waiting for the right movement” combines several steps without clear separation. The conclusion repeats earlier points and stops mid-thought, weakening the overall ending. Use clearer topic sentences, divide long explanations into manageable sentences, and choose linking words according to the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “distribution,” “stocks,” “destitution,” “entitlement,” and “high fines,” which helps communicate the main concerns and proposed action. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “hungray,” “doubble price,” and “mafiaes.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “right movement” and “dark faces.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “food reserves,” “price increases,” and “food aid” would help you explain the issue clearly without relying on vague expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with subordinate clauses, showing some effort to vary sentence structure. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “many people around the world goes hungry” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “government need to do” and “government needs to forward some steps” show inconsistent or incorrect verb patterns. Sentence boundaries are also weak: the final paragraph ends with an incomplete clause, “that cause that many people goes.” Practise agreement, articles, and complete sentence construction, and use shorter sentences when explaining several connected actions.
