Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions by identifying expensive machinery and outdated farming methods as causes, then suggesting affordable equipment and basic education as responses. These are relevant ideas, and the examples explain how each measure might help. However, the discussion remains limited and under-developed: the first cause focuses on farmers’ access to machinery rather than explaining broader reasons why food does not reach hungry people, and the conclusion merely repeats that there are reasons and solutions without summarising them. The response also does not meet the stated minimum length, which restricts how fully you can explain and support your points. Develop each cause-and-solution link with more specific explanation or an example, and end with a clear summary.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Phrases such as “To begin with” and “In additional” signal the sequence of ideas, and each body paragraph generally pairs a cause with a possible response. However, progression is somewhat mechanical, with repeated references to “the problem of hunger” and repeated “For example” constructions. Some links are unclear, particularly “following points are the some reasons which are possible solutions,” which does not clearly summarise the argument. Use more precise transitions and refer back to ideas clearly; make the conclusion state the two causes and the corresponding actions rather than introducing a vague summary.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a small set of relevant topic words, including “agricultural sector,” “outdated method of farming,” “affordable cost” and “basic education.” This gives the reader a general understanding of your argument. However, vocabulary is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less clear. For example, “problem of hungry” and “issue of hunger” are not used consistently, while “highly price” and “effort such products” do not express the intended meanings naturally. “Agricultural goods” and “technology” are also repeated without much variation. Build a more accurate range around food insecurity, farming costs and access to equipment, and check collocations when revising.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if government are able to sold their agricultural machines…” and cause-and-effect clauses. This shows an effort to connect ideas rather than relying only on short statements. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction can make the reader pause. Examples include “In todays technology have modernized,” “government may can play,” and “they may can face.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the lower-case “despite” after the opening sentence. Practise building accurate conditional sentences and check each clause for a clear subject and correctly formed verb before adding further complexity.
