Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify several relevant causes, including poverty, unemployment, population pressure and floods, and you mention government action. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: causes are mostly listed rather than explained, and the second question—what should be done—is not answered with clear, practical measures. The examples about Russia, America and Pakistan are asserted but not explained or connected convincingly to the points. The conclusion repeats that hunger is important and shifts to agriculture being a problem, without summarising solutions or presenting a clear overall answer. To improve, explain how each selected cause leads to food insecurity, then develop specific responses such as employment support, food distribution, flood-resistant infrastructure or improved crop storage.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic attempt to move from causes to examples and then to a conclusion, and phrases such as “For example” and “As a result” show an effort to connect ideas. However, the response is presented as one long block, so the reader cannot easily distinguish the main points or see a clear progression. Linking phrases are repeated, and some connections are unclear—for instance, the discussion moves from population to country size, then to social effects and government jobs without a logical bridge. Several sentences repeat the idea of people feeling hungry rather than advancing the argument. Use separate paragraphs for causes, solutions and the conclusion, and organise each paragraph around one main idea with clear, accurate links between explanation and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses a basic set of topic-related words, including “poverty,” “unemployment,” “population,” “agriculture,” “flood” and “lack of food,” so the general subject is usually recognisable. However, vocabulary is repetitive, especially “hungry” and “As a result,” and several word choices or forms make meaning difficult to follow, such as “angerness,” “lack of emitions,” “Wheat, Rice, Crops are ended” and “agriculture were a biggest problem.” Spelling and word formation errors also occur in “Bascially,” “goverment” and “conculsion.” Build a more precise range around food insecurity, crop failure, income and relief, and check spelling and collocations. This would make the ideas clearer without relying on repeated general terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both short statements and longer sentences using “because,” “when” and “which,” showing some effort to vary sentence forms. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation frequently make the message difficult to follow. For example, “People do not have job due to which they do not money on life” lacks a complete grammatical structure, while “Russia and America was” has an agreement error. “When population is more, People should spent” also contains faulty verb forms and sentence punctuation. Many ideas are joined into long sequences with commas or full stops placed inconsistently. Practise writing one complete sentence per idea, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, then add more complex structures only when they remain accurate.
