Student answer (Band 6.0)

There is a huge advancement happend in agricultural field, still most of the people in the world suffer from hunger. One of the main reasons can be inequality in access to food that exist in our society where rich people become richer and poor people become poorer. The problem can be solved if all people in a country get equal access to income source and wages.

Unequall distribution of any products lead to neglect one group of people while paying extra attention to other group. This is particularly relevant when there are foods with high prices. People who have money they can buy expensive foods. By contrast people with economic constrain left behind. It creats unequal access to the food. For instance, if the prices of basic food items increase, it is really hard for the people with no stable income to buy food. On the other hand those who have money they can buy more then their neccessities.

However, there are some people who want to do work but do not get opportunities. Even if some get the opportunities to do work, they are not paid equally. As a result, they get limited money which lead them passing their life hand to mouth. Sometimes they may pass their day without eating food. For example, if a a day labourer is paid 50 taka daily, how could he managed to buy food for his family where starting price of basic rice is 100 taka.

In my opinion, there will be no good of agricultural advancement if inequality in food access exists in our society. Equality in income opportunites and payment can be a possible solution for this issue.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions and maintain a clear central view: hunger persists because access to food and income is unequal, and fairer employment and pay could help. The examples about rising food prices and a day labourer make the causes concrete. However, the explanation focuses almost entirely on poverty and purchasing power, so it does not explore other relevant causes, such as conflict, food waste, or weak distribution systems. The proposed solution—equal income opportunities and payment—is relevant but remains broad; explain how governments or employers could achieve it and how this would improve food access. Developing the causes and practical measures more fully would make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction presents the main argument, two body paragraphs explain related causes, and the conclusion restates the proposed solution. Linking expressions such as “By contrast,” “As a result,” and “For example” help show relationships between ideas. However, the progression is somewhat repetitive: both body paragraphs return to low income and inability to afford food, while the solution appears mainly in the introduction and conclusion rather than being developed in its own paragraph. Some references are also unclear, as in “those who have money they can buy more,” where the connection between clauses is awkward. Organise the causes and solutions more distinctly and use linking devices in a more controlled way.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “inequality,” “stable income,” “basic food items,” and “agricultural advancement,” and the examples are generally understandable. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “hand to mouth,” though this phrase is more naturally used as “live from hand to mouth.” Several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce precision: “Unequall distribution,” “economic constrain,” “It creats,” and “more then their neccessities.” Phrases such as “equal access to income source” and “starting price of basic rice” are also unnatural or unclear. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, especially for describing wages, food prices, and access to resources.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional and subordinate structures: “if the prices of basic food items increase…” and “Even if some get the opportunities to do work…”. Meaning is usually clear, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. For example, “advancement happend” lacks correct tense and agreement, “Unequall distribution … lead” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “how could he managed” uses the wrong verb form. Articles and sentence construction also need attention in “if a a day labourer” and “People who have money they can buy…”. Practise checking agreement, verb forms after modal verbs, and sentence boundaries; more consistently accurate complex sentences would improve control.
