Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the spite of the advances made in agriculture, few individuals around the world still go hungry. In this essay, i will discuss main causes and solutions about why people still go hungry in this era.
To commence with, the main reason of still hungry is that unequal food distribution. To explain it, the government did not share food equal. For example, If a country have a four provinces. The government should distribute food services all provinces equally But they did not. Moreover, the major reason is climate change such as floods and the heavy rains and did not have a proper draining system and dams. For instance, the change of the climate can effect the hunger strikes. If the climate change there is no occupation and business. everyone should be live in their accommodation during flood.
On the other hand, i will describe the solutions from my points of view. I will argue that the government should improve the food distribution. To elaborate it, they should share food services equal every provinces. The government should support their farmers and protect farmers lands. For example, government will describe the farmers loan system with zero percent markup. they should support modern technology for farmers in agriculture. Also farmers will have a health care insurances which provide by government. The government should reduce the tax duty system on food so every people such as common individuals acquire their needs. The government should give the financial support during the climate change.
In essence, I will stand my opinions and my arguments are valid and hundred percent correct. Government and international cooperation can reduce hunger. The government should support farmers in financial and health system. They improve their staff and storage system.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses both parts of the prompt: causes (unequal distribution and climate change) and solutions (government intervention). However, the development of these ideas is limited. The explanation of food distribution is repetitive and lacks depth, while the link between climate change and hunger is somewhat unclear. The solutions provided are relevant but remain at a surface level, such as the suggestion for 'zero percent markup' loans, which is a specific but underdeveloped idea. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples to support your arguments, ensuring that the connection between the problem and the proposed solution is logically sound and fully explored.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'To explain it', 'To elaborate it', 'Moreover'). Some transitions are awkward, such as 'In essence, I will stand my opinions', which is not a standard way to introduce a conclusion. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition from climate change to 'hunger strikes' and 'accommodation' is confusing. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows logically from the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'main reason', 'share food', and 'support'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'hunger strikes' (which usually refers to a protest, not starvation) and 'tax duty system'. Additionally, there are minor errors in collocation, such as 'provide by government' instead of 'provided by the government'. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to agriculture, economics, and policy, and practice using these words in their correct context to demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('If a country have', 'everyone should be live'), article usage ('the hunger strikes'), and sentence fragments ('If the climate change there is no occupation'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences ending abruptly or lacking necessary commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense and pluralization.
