Student answer (Band 6.5)
In the past years till date a lot of improvement has been noted in the agriculture sector due to the growing technological improvements.Despite the growing of agricultural sector, the world still records a significant number of people that are still starving and not being able to afford a decent meal because of some economic factors and geographical factors.World organisations need to find ways to donate and give loans to the nations that are mostly affected by this problem.
Most countries that are economically weak tend to be affected by hunger the most.If the economy of a country is not perfoming well it affects the living conditions of the people.Factors like inflation, tarriffs and tax also affects. The location of the country has an effect since some countries hardly have good rainfall and good soil to produce.
World organisations need to donate to countries that are not capable to meet the living standards of people especially in Africa. If nations that are priviledged join hands and help those that are not it can impact on the world hunger problem. Moreover loans can also be granted to affected countries inorder for them to boost their economy.
Solving the world hunger problem is very almost impossible considering the rate of the affected people but a few things like donations and loans can be granted to improve the conditions of those that are affected. If nations stand by each other during trying times nothing can be impossible to solve

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt (causes and solutions), but the development is limited. The ideas regarding economic and geographical factors are mentioned but not sufficiently explored or supported with specific examples. The essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the depth of the argument. The conclusion is somewhat pessimistic and lacks a clear, well-reasoned summary of the points discussed. To improve, you should expand on your points with concrete examples and ensure your essay meets the length requirement to allow for full development of your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'Moreover', 'If'). There are instances where the logical flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, particularly in the final paragraph. While the overall progression is clear, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the limited length prevent a higher score. Improving the variety of transition signals and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good rainfall' and 'good soil' rather than more academic alternatives. There are some minor errors in word choice, such as 'priviledged' (spelling) and 'perfoming' (spelling). To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to agriculture and economics, and focus on using more precise collocations to express your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('the agriculture sector'), subject-verb agreement issues ('tarriffs and tax also affects'), and punctuation errors (missing spaces after commas). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall fluency. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with pluralization and verb agreement, and practice constructing more complex sentences with correct punctuation.
