Student answer (Band 5.0)
Advancement in the agriculture is not eradicating the problem of the hunger in the world. This is very concerning, that even the technology advancement has increased the production of each crop.
According to the demand, and supply rule if the production of thing is greater its demand should be low, in contrast the demand has enhanced further. Major cause of this is un planned population growth, and unjust distribution of the resources. Every third world country is suffering from this issue, while developed countries have resources more then their requirements.
For suppose, we take Euthopia is an African country that is facing the drought, but we cannot share our resources because we have steep rise in our population as well. That makes our demands up than before.
In this way, increase in production due to the advancement in the tech and machinery is not resolving the food shortage issue.
There are good probable solution that we can apply to overcome this problem. We have to work on the rules and regulation on the basic dietry needs of each human being.
Establishment of a formal and effective organization that provides basic food to each human being in the world. Through this we can overcome the issue, of food shortage as food required for each human to survive will be provided to them. This would resolve the unjust distribution of resources issue as well, and make life easier for all living beings.
Furthermore, donations should be made to provide food to the needy ones.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: causes of hunger and potential solutions. However, the development is limited. The explanation of the 'demand and supply' rule is somewhat confused and lacks clarity. The example of Ethiopia is relevant but remains underdeveloped, as the logic regarding why resources cannot be shared is not fully explained. The solutions provided, such as 'rules and regulation on the basic dietry needs', are quite vague and lack specific detail or practical application. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced explanations for the causes and more concrete, well-reasoned examples for the solutions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed. For example, the transition between the discussion of population growth and the example of Ethiopia is abrupt. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'For suppose' (which is non-standard) and 'In this way'. The use of referencing is occasionally unclear, making the logical flow feel somewhat repetitive. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'production of thing', 'demands up than before', and 'basic dietry needs'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of errors in collocation limit the score. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to global issues and ensure that you use words in their correct grammatical context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Issues include incorrect article usage ('the agriculture', 'the hunger'), subject-verb agreement errors, and awkward sentence construction ('This is very concerning, that even the technology advancement has increased'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on basic sentence structure and proofreading for common grammatical slips would be beneficial.
