Student answer (Band 5.0)
In contemporary society, although technology has revolutionized the way we lives and advancements of technology in the agriculture field, many people around the world still face some obstacles related to food. I believe that main reason behind this inflation and population and the government can take some measures against this view and easily overcome. Problems and causes will be discussed in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, many people face problems related to food and who are likely to underprivilege and poor people because nowadays food becomes very costly due to inflation and farmer mainly use inorganic fertilizer chemical for agriculture production. Consequently, middle class and destitue people cannot afford agriculture items. For examples, people who belong from a middle-class family, they cannot buy a organic food which is very expensive. In addition, population is also pressing issue, thus food availability also more, but because of pollutions and climate change agriculture production is decreasing day by day.
Conversely, this type of problems cannot be negligible, hence the governments and individuals have to take measures and find out solutions. First and foremost, the government could allocate more fund for food security and public welfare, thus people receive adequate food free of cost from the government and enjoy their life without any obstacles. Moreover, people can create kitchen garden in the balcony and empty space.
To sum up, although advanced technology has introduced into the agriculture field, many people face food crisis and many more. I believe that the government could provide free food to underprivilege people and individuals can make kitchen garden.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: causes (inflation, population, climate change) and solutions (government funding, kitchen gardens). However, the development of these ideas is limited. The arguments are presented in a somewhat superficial manner, and the explanation of how these factors lead to hunger lacks depth. For example, the link between 'inorganic fertilizer' and the inability of the middle class to afford food is not clearly explained. The position is clear, but the supporting evidence is underdeveloped, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, you should expand on your points with more specific reasoning or examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, the phrase 'conversely, this type of problems cannot be negligible' is used incorrectly as a transition to solutions. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'population is also pressing issue, thus food availability also more'. While the overall progression is discernible, the lack of sophisticated linking words and occasional awkward phrasing makes the flow feel somewhat disjointed at times.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'destitue people' (destitute), 'belong from a middle-class family', and 'allocate more fund'. The repetition of basic terms like 'problems' and 'people' limits the lexical variety. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of control over more sophisticated vocabulary and frequent errors in word formation and collocation indicate a limited range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('technology has revolutionized the way we lives'), article usage ('the government could allocate more fund'), and sentence construction ('many people face problems related to food and who are likely to underprivilege'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from achieving a higher score. Focusing on sentence structure and proofreading for basic errors would be beneficial.
