Student answer (Band 5.0)
Even after modernization in agriculture number of people suffers from hunger.
It is true that even after rise in advance technology in agriculture sector still people go hungry because of several reasons like many of them are unable to afford essential food items they can not afford it due to many reasons unemployment ,war lack of transportation to get enough supply of grains and vegetables
because of it higher prices compare to modern city. then some area does not have suitable land for farming these are main reasons for that.
There are many things which government can do to reduce this problem to solve it government must understood the causes and then according to it make plans to tackle it. for example government can provide employment to people bellow poverty line under some schemas. so, they can afford enough food items. just like India they can provide meals at low rate for homeless and needy people. so, they can get enough food to survive and it will also help to reduce this problem on some level. however, government should control groceries and grains price so it can be affordable for everyone and upgrade modes of transportation. so, it can be transported easily. these are very crucial steps to tackle this very sensitive problem.
Because of war many people are suffering from this problem in Gaza, Russia , Ukraine , Iran many more counties because of less transportation of goods and services. hence prices of groceries increases rapidly which affects people so much and they have to suffer.
Overall these are the main reason why despite advancement in farming many people still suffer from the hunger and these ideas can really help to reduce it at some level and help people in my opinion.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for global hunger and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention factors like unemployment, war, and transportation, these are presented as a list rather than being fully explored. Similarly, the solutions provided, such as government schemes and price controls, are mentioned briefly. To achieve a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or specific, well-integrated examples. The current structure feels somewhat repetitive, and the analysis of the causes could be more profound to demonstrate a deeper engagement with the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disrupted by poor sentence structure and a lack of effective cohesive devices. Many sentences are linked in a mechanical way, such as the repetitive use of 'so' and 'because of it'. Transitions between ideas are often abrupt, making the progression of arguments feel disjointed. For example, the paragraph regarding war in specific countries appears suddenly without a clear link to the previous paragraph's focus on government solutions. Improving the use of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in addition') would help create a smoother, more coherent argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'things', 'make', and 'get', which limits the precision of your writing. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'rise in advance technology' instead of 'advancements in technology' and 'bellow poverty line' (below). To improve, you should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to agriculture, economics, and social policy, and work on using words in their correct collocations to convey your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are consistent issues with article usage (e.g., 'in agriculture sector'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence punctuation. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, lacking proper structure. For instance, 'because of it higher prices compare to modern city' is grammatically incorrect and unclear. While you attempt some complex ideas, the lack of control over basic structures prevents the use of a wider range of error-free complex sentences. Focusing on basic sentence construction, punctuation, and consistent verb tenses will significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
