Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the era of the advances made in agriculture, many prople around the world still go hungry. This easy wil discuss the reason why is this the case and how people can solve this problem before my perspection regarding this problem.

On the one hand, it is true there are many advancements are noticed in the agriculture field but the lack of support is the issue, support from government. There are more advanced machines available in the market but the prices of that machinary is really high, that's why an avarage of farmers cannot affored them. In addition, less production of fields because it requires alot of efforts, consequently the prices of crops that are necessory for daily use goes up. In the way, a large portion of population suffer from hunger.

On the other hand, this problem can be cope by little efforts of authories. They can offer the required equipments to the farmer on the contract base. However, a sessional machine give a farmer and allow him to make profit by using it and return some crops in return of it to the government. In addition, lectures from the experts of neighbourhood can be arranged by higher authories to know about how other nation are handling fields in the changing weather.

To sum up, advances in the agriculture field is undeniable but the farmars can affort it or not is connected to the growth of agriculture. I believe government should offer the necessory machinary without any cost because when the production would increase authories can fullfil the daily consumption of public in the region.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for global hunger and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation regarding why agricultural machinery is expensive and how it impacts food production is quite brief and lacks specific examples or depth. The solutions proposed, such as 'contract-based' equipment, are relevant but could be expanded upon with more detail to fully meet the requirements of a Band 6 or 7. The position is clear, but the overall argument lacks the sophistication and thorough development required for higher bands. The introduction is slightly repetitive and contains minor errors in phrasing.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. There is a logical progression from the problem to the solution. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'In the way' and 'In addition'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between 'sessional machine' and the proposed solution is difficult to follow. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the flow between sentences is sometimes disjointed, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band for coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several spelling errors, such as 'prople' (people), 'machinary' (machinery), 'affored' (afford), 'authories' (authorities), and 'farmars' (farmers). These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable, though they do not completely impede communication. The range of vocabulary is limited to basic terms, and there is little attempt to use less common or more sophisticated lexical items. To improve, you should focus on accurate spelling and incorporating more academic collocations related to agriculture and economics.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'this easy wil discuss' (essay will), 'there are many advancements are noticed' (there are many advancements noticed), and 'this problem can be cope by' (this problem can be coped with). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are inconsistent. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and punctuation limits the score. You need to focus on sentence construction and proofreading to ensure basic grammatical accuracy.
