Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this modern era, there are a lot of modern technologies that play an important role in agriculture but still now a lot of people still hungry.
Its all just because of over population and less modernisation of seeds production. Although different countries still working on over population and they banned on more than two new babies birth but a large number of countries are those that don't work on it and their population grow rapidly.such as in china new couples can not born more than two babies because chinese government banned on them just because to control of population but In african countries parents have a lot of children and their are no bith controlling system from the government side and thats why their are a large number of people that feel hungry.
On the other hand many engineers working on the advance machines for modern agriculture but scientists are saying that they need new seeds which can gave us grains so fast or we take most out come of production from those seeds.
In conclusion world health organisation should want to take step to control population that are increasing so fast and they also should want to increase funds for the researches of new seeds of grains. WHO also want to keep their eyes on every countries and their governments because government can plays a vital role in control of population and funds for researchs and scientists.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt (causes and solutions), but the development is limited. The ideas regarding overpopulation and agricultural technology are relevant but lack depth and supporting evidence. The essay is also 11 words under the 250-word minimum, which negatively impacts the task achievement score as the argument is not fully developed. The focus on specific countries like China and African nations is a good attempt at providing examples, but the explanation of how these factors directly lead to global hunger is somewhat simplistic. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed analysis and ensure you meet the minimum word count requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes inaccurate (e.g., 'Its all just because of', 'such as in china'). The transition between the problem and the solution is abrupt. While there is a logical progression from the causes to the conclusion, the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the flow feel repetitive. To improve, try using a wider variety of transition signals such as 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'in light of this' to connect your ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'modern technologies', 'modern agriculture', and 'a lot of' are used frequently. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'new babies birth', 'bith controlling system', and 'gave us grains so fast'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear. To reach a higher band, you need to use a more varied range of vocabulary and ensure that words are used in their correct context. Focus on learning collocations related to global issues and agricultural development.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('their are no bith controlling system'), incorrect verb forms ('can not born', 'can gave us'), and punctuation errors. These errors are noticeable and sometimes impede the flow of the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of control over basic grammar and sentence construction limits the score. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that modal verbs are followed by the correct verb forms.
