Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for food shortages and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, covering population growth, urbanization, and resource distribution. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention 'uneven distribution of resources,' you do not explain the underlying economic or political mechanisms behind this. Similarly, the solutions are presented as a list of general suggestions rather than being fully explored or supported with specific examples. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or concrete illustrations to demonstrate a deeper engagement with the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs for reasons and solutions, and a conclusion. There is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore,' 'Likewise,' and 'Moreover,' which help link sentences. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing (e.g., 'These issued' should be 'These issues'). The paragraphing is appropriate, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to create a more natural, sophisticated connection between your arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'modernization,' 'deficient,' 'urbanization,' and 'legislations.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'thriving to struggle' is an awkward phrase; 'struggling with' would be more natural. Additionally, 'Mian reason' contains a spelling error. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. Focusing on using more academic collocations and ensuring accurate word forms will help improve your score in this area.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text. For example, 'number of population' should be 'the size of the population,' and 'problem of food shortage need' should be 'the problem... needs.' There are also missing articles (e.g., 'at international level' should be 'at an international level'). These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles.
