Student answer (Band 5.5)
In agriculture due to the innovation of technology and AI the advance method for farming is implemented in many countires. Despite of the advances made in agriculture, many people's still go hungry around the world. This case is majorly due to lack of practical training, awareness and high price machines which can be overcome by implementing free training, machines and nationwide awareness program by government.
The one the major reasons for increasing the number of hungry people is due to lack of training for farmers to utilize the machines effectively. The farmers does not have qualified experience and training to use the machines correctly due to this misuse of machines cause terrible accidents. Moreover, the people involved in agriculture are unable to purchase the pricy machines from the market. Due to the fact farmers fails to grow crops to fulfill the need of growing population. Consequently, it leads to increase in the number of starving people around the world.
Another major reason is due the ignorance of farming profession by the youths and governmnets. Many youth and students consider the farming as less recognized profession in society with low income due to this the less number of educated manpower show less interest in farming. For example, recent study carried out by Oxford University showed that less than 10% students are interested in agriculture even many students answered the question which was " where does milk come from ?" students replied it comes from supermarket. Which shows how student are not educated about the importance of agriculture.
This issue can be addressed if the responsible authorities and governments provide vocational training and also offering free of cost machinery items necessary to farmers. Furthernore, Governments should organize nationwide awareness programs which will benefits a lot and increase the number of farmers.
In conclusion, this trend can be minimized and effectively managed if the authorities implemented practical training, free machinery items and awareness.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for global hunger and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the lack of training and the high cost of machinery. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding youth disinterest is supported by an anecdote about milk, which lacks academic weight. While the position is clear, the explanation of how these factors directly lead to global hunger could be more robustly linked to the agricultural advances mentioned in the introduction. Overall, the response covers the requirements but lacks the depth of analysis expected for a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover', 'Consequently', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'The one the major reasons' and 'due the ignorance'. Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the problem analysis from the proposed solutions, which provides a coherent structure to the overall argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to communicate their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific terminology like 'vocational training' and 'agricultural advances'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'pricy machines' (expensive), 'less recognized profession' (low-status), and 'misuse of machines cause terrible accidents'. Spelling errors, such as 'countires' and 'governmnets', also occur. The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('The farmers does not have', 'farmers fails'), missing articles ('due to lack of'), and awkward prepositional usage ('due the ignorance'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure is often repetitive. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors indicates a lack of control over more complex grammatical forms, keeping the score in the 5.5 range.
