Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, modern technologies has taken places in everywhere. In agriculture it reduces the human effort and provide two or three times than current. Still peoples are suffering from hunger due to few reasons. Thus, this will be discussed in this essay.
In today's era, Modern technologies has changed the prospective of farming and agriculture. It reduces the human effort and stress. However, still many people around the world still go hungry there are few reasons. Firstly, The specific country is not engaging towards the farming. This is the primary reason. beacuse if the country is importing foods from other countries it will be sell two or three times more than its original price. So, local residents can't afford the groceries. Like USA is importing Rice from india in the price of 1 dollar per kg. But US federation is selling for 3 Dollar for each kg local people can't afford the foods. Lastly, Some countries are located near north pole. On that landscape it is very difficult to do farming due to climate conditions.
There are some stratergy to reduce the people who are suffering from hunger. Country should engage local people to do farming via providing some subsidy and some benifits. Additionally, Government impose the tariff from other nations. Government should provide loan at zero interest rate for farming.
In conclusion, There are some countries which are dependent on other countries for food and development. Instead of this country should engage local peoples to do farming by providing few benifits.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for hunger and potential solutions. However, the development is limited. The explanation regarding countries not engaging in farming is somewhat simplistic, and the example provided (USA importing rice from India) is factually questionable and lacks depth. The solutions offered, such as government subsidies and zero-interest loans, are relevant but remain underdeveloped. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and more realistic, globally applicable examples. The essay covers the requirements but lacks the depth of analysis expected for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Thus, this will be discussed in this essay' is a generic filler that does not connect well to the previous sentence. There are also issues with referencing; the phrase 'Instead of this' in the conclusion is unclear in its reference. While there is an overall progression, the logical flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'prospective' instead of 'perspective', and 'US federation' instead of 'US government'. The phrase 'take places in everywhere' is non-standard. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle to use less common items accurately. To improve, focus on learning collocations related to agriculture and economics, and ensure you are using words in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Subject-verb agreement is a recurring issue, such as 'modern technologies has' and 'peoples are'. There are also errors with articles ('the price of 1 dollar') and prepositions. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty, such as 'beacuse if the country is importing foods... it will be sell'. The range of structures is limited, and the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents a higher score.
