Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for hunger and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as poverty, distribution issues, and conflict. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, while you mention that 'poverty' is a cause, the explanation could be more deeply explored with more specific economic context. The solutions provided are relevant but remain quite general. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more detailed reasoning or specific, well-integrated examples rather than brief mentions like the one regarding Nepal.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Another important factor', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by minor errors in sentence structure. Referencing is generally clear, but the transition between the problem of war and the example of the flood in Nepal feels a bit abrupt. Improving the sophistication of your linking phrases would enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'innovations', 'agricultural production', and 'international authorities'. However, there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'allwing', 'enogh', 'bein', 'polytical', 'instabality', 'Conflct', 'Additonally', 'distructions', 'evrywhere', 'stuggling', 'majors', 'br', 'facilites', 'wastages'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not impede communication. To improve, you should focus on proofreading your work to eliminate these basic spelling mistakes and attempt to incorporate more precise, less common collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('many people... still doesnt have', 'natural disaster could have severe effect') and awkward phrasing ('There are lot of innovations are happening'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement (e.g., 'Although , tremendous'). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your score.
