Student answer (Band 6.0)
In contemporary society, technological advancement in the agriculture sector has emerged as a highly debated issue. This essay will examine the reason behind this trend and discuss how to overcome this problem.
To commence with, this trend has become increasingly prevalent nowadays. Despite having an advanced cultivation process, people in the world are hungry. Because farmers do not have an ideal knowledge of operating this heavy machinery. Due to lack of handling, they unable to meet the public requirements. Enough amount of crops are not being cultivated and transported to the markets. Moreover, poor road quality, the crops, which are being transported, are spoiled after travelling long hours. For example, some vegetables and fruits are not in a position to travel a long journey, so they are being rotten spontaneously after an hours. Therefore, this causes starvation among the individuals as they are not getting enough nutrients.
To tackle this issue, the policymakers ought to intervene, ideally through regulation. Firstly, authorities should train workers on how to handle and operate new equipment by organizing some campaigns about it. Secondly, road qualities should be renovated and constructed in a way that shorter time will be taken by a driver to dispatch the products. For instance, starting to literate the rural people will make them aware more about the changes made in the agricultural process so that they can handle more appropriately. Therefore, well-coordinated and strategic intervention will mitigate this problem linked to harvesting.
To sum up, by following these techniques society will not suffer, and it will also help to mitigate a concern easily. Therefore, it is imperative for both individuals and the regime to take collective and proactive measures to address this issue in a sustainable manner.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for global hunger and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The explanation regarding farmers' lack of knowledge is a good starting point, but it lacks depth and specific evidence. The solutions provided, such as training and infrastructure improvement, are relevant but remain somewhat superficial. To achieve a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed examples or logical chains of reasoning. For instance, explaining the economic barriers to infrastructure development would add significant weight to your argument. The position is clear, but the overall development is slightly underdeveloped.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'Therefore'. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'To commence with, this trend has become increasingly prevalent nowadays', which does not clearly link to the previous sentence. Additionally, some sentences are fragmented or lack smooth flow, particularly in the second paragraph. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the logical flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'cultivation process', 'infrastructure', and 'sustainable'. However, there are instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'literate the rural people' (instead of 'educate' or 'provide literacy training') and 'rotten spontaneously' (instead of 'perish' or 'spoil'). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and there is a reliance on simpler phrasing. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. For example, 'Because farmers do not have an ideal knowledge...' is a sentence fragment. Other errors include subject-verb agreement issues, such as 'they unable to meet' (missing 'are') and 'some vegetables... are being rotten' (incorrect passive voice usage). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure needs more variety and accuracy to reach a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and avoiding sentence fragments will significantly improve your score.
