Student answer (Band 4.5)
The topic of discussion is, many people still facing hunger while agriculture is improving day by day.
Despite all the advancement in agriculture the people still face shortage of food because there are people who store food and it is linked to many other issues in the world.
Unemployment is the bigger cause of it. No matter of the abundance of the food production, when people cannot buy it. Food is still not equally available in all parts of the world. the poor countries cannot provide food to every person living in that country.
To solve this problem, the immediate measure is to provide employment to the people. when people do work, they will be abke to buy at least basic neccesseties for life and can eat food. Govt should make the rule to keep check and balance in all the states of the country so no one left hungry or sleep on empty stomach.
Hunger is the problem despite the improvement in agricultute,it can only be solve by taking strict measures

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word length requirement of 250 words, coming in at only 172 words, which severely impacts task achievement. While the student attempts to address both parts of the prompt by identifying causes like unemployment and food storage, and suggesting solutions like job creation and government oversight, the ideas are underdeveloped and lack sufficient support or specific examples. Phrases such as 'food is still not equally available' and 'unemployment is the bigger cause' touch upon relevant themes, but the lack of elaboration keeps the response at a Band 4.0 level according to the task achievement descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays some basic organization, separating the introduction, causes, and solutions into distinct paragraphs. However, there is a lack of overall progression and cohesive devices are rudimentary or missing entirely. Sentences tend to be disjointed, and the logical transition between ideas is frequently broken, as seen when moving abruptly from food storage to unemployment without a linking device. Paragraphing is attempted, but individual paragraphs lack internal cohesion. This aligns closely with Band 5.0 descriptors for coherence and cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with several lexical errors and awkward collocations. Examples include 'advancement in agriculture', 'keep check and balance', and 'sleep on empty stomach'. While the student manages to communicate basic meanings related to the topic of hunger, the range is limited and inadequate for a higher band. Spelling and word choice errors, such as 'abke' and 'neccesseties', further restrict the lexical score to a Band 4.5 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The grammatical range is very limited, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic structures. Attempts at complex sentences often result in errors, such as missing articles ('the people still face shortage of food'), punctuation errors, and subject-verb agreement issues ('many people still facing hunger'). Frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and disrupt the flow of the text, placing the grammar performance firmly within the Band 4.5 category.
