Despite of the significant advancements in agriculture, many people around the world suffer from hunger. It is due to the poverty and unequal food distribution. It is a major issue globally. However, governments and international organizations can take effective measures to reduce hunger.
On major issue is poverty. Many people in underdeveloped counteries do not have enough money to buy nutritious food, even when the food is available in their local markets because in poor areas they do not have good transportation resourses and roads. In addition, limited resources cause unequal food distribution around the world. Many counteries produce large amount of food while other face food shortage becouse of poor transportation and storage facilities. For example, farmers in poor regions may produce enough food but lack of proper roads and storage systems can cause food to be wasted before it reaches to the consumers. Furthermore, wars and natural disasters can also destroy farms and prevent people from growing or buying food.
There are several ways to adress this problem. First, governments should invest in modern farming methods, irrigation system and storage facilities, which can help farmers increase production and reduce food waste. They should also improve roads and transportation so that food can reach areas where it needed. Second, richer counteries and international organizations should provide financial support and agricutural technology to the poorer nations. For instance, providing farmers with better seeds, equipments and training could increase crop production and improve their incomes. Finally, governments should create programmes that provide affordable or free meals to people who cannot afford basic necessities.
In conclusion, poverty, unequal food distribution, conflict and poor infrastructure are major causes of hunger. By improving agricultural systems, reducing food waste and supporting disadvantaged communities, government can make significant progress in reducing hunger worldwide.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by identifying causes of hunger, such as poverty, poor infrastructure, and unequal food distribution, and proposes relevant solutions like investing in agriculture and international support. The position is clear throughout the essay. However, some ideas could be further extended and supported with deeper analysis. For instance, the explanation of transportation issues is somewhat repetitive regarding poor roads and storage. Overall, the main tenets of the prompt are well-covered, meeting the requirements of a Band 6.5 to 7.0 profile well, leaning towards a solid Band 6.0 due to some under-developed conceptual links regarding food distribution.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay is arranged coherently with a clear introduction, body paragraphs addressing causes and solutions, and a concise conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct thematic blocks. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or faulty, such as 'On major issue is poverty' (typographical error for One) and 'First' and 'Second' lists that lack smooth transitional embedding. Referencing is generally clear, but sentence-to-sentence flow is occasionally disrupted by minor tracking errors and lack of varied connective tissue. This places the response comfortably at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully incorporating terms like 'significant advancements,' 'nutritious food,' and 'international organizations.' There are, however, several lexical errors and non-standard collocations throughout the text, including 'counteries' (countries), 'resourses' (resources), 'adress' (address), and 'agricutural' (agricultural). While these vocabulary and spelling errors do not impede overall communication, they prevent the text from achieving a higher band score. The writer attempts less common vocabulary with mixed success, reflecting the descriptors for Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating a reasonable attempt at subordination ('even when the food is available,' 'which can help farmers'). However, there are noticeable grammatical errors and awkward phrasings, such as 'Despite of the significant advancements' (incorrect preposition usage), 'reaches to the consumers' (unnecessary preposition), and missing articles or pluralization issues ('other face food shortage'). Punctuation spacing errors are also present, such as missing spaces after periods. Despite these recurrent errors, the meaning is generally clear and communication is rarely impeded, warranting a Band 6.0.
