Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this developing era, it is often argued that in spite of advanced development made in agriculture, still tons of individual remain hungry. I believe this case happen because of high cost and lack of distribution by policy makers and it can mitigates by taking several steps by the government.

One of the key reason why this happens in the society is lack of distribution. To detail it out, nowadays the policy makers provide the meals prior to the rich people and after distributing the leftover meals are serving to the poorer people and due to the low quantity they have to remained hungry. For instance, the vegetables distributes directly to malls and well known shops at high cost and the rich ones only afford it, while the leftover veggies comes to poorer at very low quantity and in compared to the peoples. Secondly, high cost machines. To elaborate this, due to the high cost machinery poor farmer cannot afford the advanced machines and they have to work physically and due to that reason they cannot grow the vegetables at high quantity because it needed care and need to fertilize the crops time to time and without the machineries it is very difficult and sometimes because of climate change like heavy rainfall, drought and sometime the fires due to high heat it ruins the crops. Hence, this are the reason why this things even if advanced machinery are there.

To solve this issues government should need to take several steps. First and foremost is provide enough land and machinery to farmers. To explain it out, if government provide this much facilities so it allows the farmers to grow crops at high quantity which can gets sufficient for the large population. Besides this, government also should pay the farmers at their satisfied cost for their better welfare. Secondly, they should equally contributes to whole nation with their right cost so everyone can afford it so nobody affects and nobody remain hungry.

Conclusively, Owing to the unequal distribution and high cost machinery large number of people are remained hungry, but by taking steps by the policy makers such as proving land, machinery and satisfied cost to the farmer this issue can be easily solve.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions and maintain a clear overall position: unequal distribution and the cost of machinery are presented as causes, while government support for farmers and fairer distribution are proposed as solutions. The examples about produce reaching expensive shops and crops being damaged by drought or heavy rainfall help make the causes relevant. However, the explanation of distribution is somewhat unclear—for example, the claim that meals are provided to rich people first needs more precise support. The machinery point is more developed than the proposed solutions, which are listed but not explained in detail. Clarify how each measure would reduce hunger, and consider including other relevant causes, such as poverty, conflict, or food waste, to make the response more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining causes, a paragraph proposing solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Conclusively” help readers follow the main stages, and the ideas generally progress in a logical order. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, links can feel mechanical, and some references are unclear: “this are the reason” does not clearly identify the preceding points, while “they” in the solutions paragraph could refer to either the government or farmers. The long example about machinery and climate also combines several ideas in one stretch. Use clearer topic sentences, divide complex explanations, and make pronoun references explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “distribution,” “policy makers,” “machinery,” “drought,” and “climate change,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts to use more formal expressions, such as “To elaborate this” and “for their better welfare.” However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “high,” “cost,” and “steps,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward. Phrases such as “satisfied cost,” “leftover veggies,” and “advanced development made in agriculture” make parts of the argument less natural and occasionally harder to interpret. Build a more precise range for food access and agricultural support, and check whether words combine naturally before using them.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including explanations with “because” and “while,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, complex sentences are often not controlled accurately, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “this case happen” needs subject–verb agreement, while “the vegetables distributes” has an incorrect verb form. In “if government provide this much facilities,” the conditional structure, article, and plural form are not controlled. Some sentences also run together, particularly the explanation of machinery and crop damage, making relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them, and proofread specifically for agreement and verb forms.
