Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is true that many advances have been made in agriculture. However, huge numbers of people all over the world still go hungry. I believe the government can add a few rules and facilities which may reduce this hunger issue. This essay will examine issues and solutions with relevant examples.
On the one hand, one major reason for hunger is that food is being distributed unequally in many countries. Although it may save food from the wastage, it should be provided to all citizens carefully according to the requirements. For example, people who live in rural areas have to buy groceries at higher rates which directly impact people's budget. Another significant reason is food waste. This is because many people who come from rich families may store food in a large amount, which creates a shortage of food for other individuals. Consequently, food should be stored wisely.
On the other hand, this hunger issue could be solved by a few changes. One major change is that citizens should be helped by the government by providing them proper food service monthly. For example, if monthly food stock had been fixed, nobody would have to face hunger problems. As a result, anyone can receive enough food monthly.
Furthermore, another significant measure should be implemented by the government by providing additional advance facilities to farmers. For example, tractors can be provided by the government to farmers, which can help them to produce more food. Consequently, it may effectively reduce this hunger issue.
To sum up, Although it is undoubtedly true that people are facing hunger issue all over the world, it could be changed by a few rules from the government.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions by identifying unequal distribution and food waste as causes, then proposing government food support and assistance to farmers. These are relevant ideas, and the examples of monthly food supplies and tractors help make the solutions concrete. However, the explanation of why hunger persists despite agricultural advances is only partly developed: the link between rural residents paying higher prices and unequal distribution is not fully explained, and the claim that wealthy families storing food creates shortages needs clearer support. The conclusion repeats the general idea of government action rather than drawing together the causes and solutions. Develop each point with a clearer explanation of how it contributes to hunger and how the proposed measure would address it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. The contrast between causes and remedies is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “Furthermore,” and “To sum up” guide the reader. This coherent structure is a strength. Some linking, however, feels mechanical, and connections between claims are not always clear. For instance, “Although it may save food from the wastage” does not clearly connect to the point about unequal distribution, while “Consequently, food should be stored wisely” follows the food-waste explanation without showing how this would reduce hunger. Make these relationships explicit and use referencing and transitions that explain the logic, rather than relying mainly on formulaic markers.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “distributed unequally,” “food waste,” “shortage,” and “farmers.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “significant measure” and “effectively reduce.” However, the range is limited by repeated general expressions such as “hunger issue,” “food,” and “government,” and some word combinations are unnatural or imprecise. “Additional advance facilities” is unclear, and “food service monthly” does not naturally describe the proposed support. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, but they reduce precision. Build a wider set of accurate collocations for food security, distribution, agricultural support, and public assistance, and avoid repeating the same broad terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses with “Although,” “which,” and “if.” Most sentences communicate their meaning clearly, and the conditional example about a fixed monthly food stock shows an attempt to vary structure. Some grammatical errors remain, but they rarely obstruct understanding. For example, “Although it is undoubtedly true” begins the final sentence with a capital letter after a comma, and “people are facing hunger issue” is missing an article before “hunger issue.” The sentence “citizens should be helped by the government by providing them” also has an awkward, repetitive structure. Review articles, punctuation after introductory clauses, and sentence construction; then practise expressing the same ideas with varied, controlled active and passive forms.
