Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this technophile world, techonology is booming every sector of the soceity and agriculture is not an expection. Although, enhencement in farming still allows people around the globe to starve. There are several reasons for it, however with proactive measures a change would be brought about. This eassay discussed likely causes and the plausible measures for the proposed issue.
At the outset, advancement in every aspect of life has been hiking by leaps and bounds, agricutural not being anexception. But that does not solve the problem of hunger faced by people. Advancement in farming sector is undenied but the root cause of starvation after having various advance technologies in farming is due toof uneducated folks engaged in this particular occupation. For instance, there are various advance machines in the market for farmers to use to simplfy the process but because of the lack of education and not being aware about the mechanism, they fail to use the technology in order of make things more simple. Secondly, in this era less people are considering farming as a full time occupation, rather the youth is now being diverted to work in huge multinational companies for moving aboard to make a career. Less people considering this occupation also makes the public to stay hungry as only a small amount of workers in agricultural field cannot bare the weight of producing the raw materials to cook for the whole nation.
Significantly, restorative measures are needed to be taken to pacify the issue. Firstly, the government should come up with educative programs to educate farmer about the advancement in this sector and how modern machines work in order to simplfy their hard work. Secondly, farmers should also consider accepting the state-of-the-art machines and try to get there hands on it by learing the tutorials provided online. Moreover, the companines producing advance machines should hire a special volunteer for uneducated farmers to teach them how the modern equipments function. For example, in the Australia the government has launced a special program to cultivate tomatoes using modern techonology which stands as a paragon here.
In summary, by getting pro-active measure, we can make the changes favourable to us, as food is the basic neccesity for life and nobody should be without food.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both questions: it identifies limited farmer education and declining interest in farming as causes, then proposes government training, farmers learning to use equipment, and support from machinery companies. These are relevant ideas, and the Australia example gives the discussion some specificity. However, the causes and solutions are not developed equally clearly. The link between fewer people entering farming and hunger is asserted rather than explained in detail, and the tomato programme is mentioned without showing how it improves food access or reduces hunger. The opening also promises a discussion of causes and measures but does not establish a particularly clear overall position. Explain the mechanisms behind each point and connect examples directly to the problem.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In summary” help readers identify the stages of the argument. This meets the lower-band expectation for coherent organisation and shows some of the clearer progression associated with the next level. However, transitions can feel mechanical, and some links between ideas are not fully explicit: the move from farmers’ limited training to global hunger, for example, needs a clearer explanation. The phrase “this particular occupation” also has an imprecise reference. Use fewer formulaic connectors and make the cause-and-effect links and references more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response attempts a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “advancement,” “state-of-the-art machines,” “occupation,” and “proactive measures.” However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “issue,” “problem,” and “advancement,” while several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural. For example, “agricultural not being an exception,” “hiking by leaps and bounds,” and “pacify the issue” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “techonology,” “soceity,” and “neccesity” are also noticeable and can distract the reader. Build a more precise vocabulary for food production and hunger, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
There is an attempt to use both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “Although” and “because,” and the main ideas are usually understandable. However, complex constructions are often faulty, and grammatical errors recur across the response. For example, “Although, enhencement in farming still allows people to starve” is not a complete, well-formed sentence, while “the youth is now being diverted” has an awkward subject–verb construction. In “a special volunteer for uneducated farmers to teach them,” the sentence structure makes the intended relationship unclear. Articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries also need attention. Practise building accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
