Student answer (Band 5.5)

In today's modern world, despite of advancement and innovation in agriculture sector, an increasing number of people across the globe still go hungry. In this essay, I will discuss why this endangered issue nowadays human face and what are the possibilities to overcome this problem.

To commence with, one of the main reason is that limited availability of advance resourses for agriculture. To elaborate further, many farmers are still used manuual methods for cultivating new seeds or harvesting it in a particular season. This lead to the limitation of agriculture sources like vegetables and fruits where are considerably low due to the lack of automation and innovation. Furthermore, lack of government cooperation with farmers. Mostly in under develope countries like Pakistan and India, authority have very nominal foucs for agricultural income and sources, even though these are agriculture base countries in the world. As a result, many people across the world sleep hungry without any meal for their lunch and dinner. Moreover, the rest of world could have the same problem they have no aids from government side in the form of seeds, plant or any other agriculture related items.

To address this problem, government should need to invest a vast amount of money over build a strong fundation in the agriculture sector to facilitates million of individuals acrros the world. Similarly, when authorities should focus on agriculture side, then all the basic facilities will be provided for farmer to culitvate new hybrid seeds which are more and more beneficial for increase of agriculture sources like vegetables and fruits. Furthermore, when governemnt spend a considerable amount of capital in agriculture, then farmer will be able to automate their cultivation and harvesting process which will lead of a huge production of vegetables and fruits. Moreover, proper management is also required to distribute foods all over around the world with a reasonable amount which is affordable and flexible. If all these action can take places then no one in the world will go hungry to their home.

In conclusion, although limited availability and resourses and funds can prevent farmer for producing a vast amount of vegetables and fruits which cause to hunger for the public across the world. However, these issues can be addresed by investing in agriculture sectors and improving their process of cultivation and harvesting by automating each and every process.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus on hunger. The response identifies limited agricultural resources and weak government support as causes, then proposes investment, improved farming technology, and better food distribution. These are appropriate ideas, but some are not fully explained: for example, the link between manual farming and hunger is asserted without showing how low production or access to food results. The discussion also concentrates on agricultural production, while other relevant causes—such as poverty, conflict, food waste, or unequal distribution—could broaden the explanation. Your solutions are clear but would be stronger with a specific example or more detail about how governments could make food affordable and reach people in need.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. You also use a range of linking expressions, including “To commence with,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion,” and the cause-and-solution sections are separated appropriately. However, several transitions feel mechanical, and repeated use of “Moreover” and “Furthermore” makes the links more noticeable than the ideas themselves. Some references are unclear, such as “the rest of world could have the same problem they have no aids,” where the relationship between the groups is difficult to follow. Use fewer formulaic connectors and make each sentence’s connection to the previous point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary such as “agriculture sector,” “hybrid seeds,” “automate,” and “distribution,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited by repeated reliance on broad terms such as “problem,” “sources,” and “government,” while several inaccurate word choices and collocations make parts difficult to interpret. For instance, “agriculture sources” is unclear where you mean food production or crop yields, and “a strong fundation” does not express the intended idea precisely. Spelling errors such as “resourses,” “manual,” and “governemnt” are also noticeable. Build a more accurate set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “although,” “when,” and “which,” so there is an attempt to vary structure. However, complex sentences are often not controlled accurately, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “one of the main reason is” has a singular-plural mismatch, while “many farmers are still used” uses an incorrect verb pattern. In “government should need to invest,” the modal construction is faulty, and “If all these action can take places” contains errors in both number and verb form. These problems sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the point. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with carefully checked clauses.
