Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify food shortage as the central problem and attempt to discuss both causes and solutions, so the response is relevant to the prompt. However, the causes are not clearly explained: the claim that agriculture “creates food shortage” is vague, and the reference to farmers losing interest is not connected convincingly to why people go hungry. The statistic attributed to “The Daily Star” is difficult to interpret and is not developed with a clear example. The solution focuses mainly on awareness and reducing urban migration, while the task also calls for practical measures to improve food access or agricultural production. Your conclusion restates the issue but does not resolve these gaps. Develop a small number of specific causes and solutions, explaining how each would reduce hunger.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on a solution, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Another contributing factor,” and “In conclusion” help signal the intended stages. However, progression within the body paragraphs is often unclear. For example, the statistic, the list of countries, and the statement about farmers losing interest are placed together without showing how one idea leads to the next. “For example” introduces no specific example, and “Threse factors” refers back to points that have not been clearly established. The solution paragraph also shifts from hunger to urban migration without a clear bridge. Organise each paragraph around one main point and use explicit explanations and references to connect supporting details.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt some topic-related and more formal vocabulary, including “food shortage,” “systemic problems,” “multifaceted,” and “sustainable approach.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are frequent and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow, as in “argriculture,” “comtributing,” “perpetution,” and “implrmrntiong.” Some phrases are also unclear or unnatural, such as “at money point in there daily lives” and “for there survive.” Repetition of “problem,” “issue,” and “food shortage” limits the range. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations for hunger and farming, such as “food insecurity,” “crop yields,” and “access to nutritious food.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You try to use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “problems that are difficult to address swiftly” and a participial phrase beginning “By implementing…”. However, many sentences contain grammatical errors that make relationships between ideas hard to understand. The opening includes a fragment: “because a significant concern in modern society,” while “The prevalence of argriculture can not handle a vast people need” lacks a clear grammatical structure. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “maney countey … some areas a significant number…” and “Additionally due to agriculture problem … maney people are die.” Use shorter, complete sentences first, then add complex clauses only when their structure is secure. Check subject–verb agreement and punctuation.
