Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent times, it is noted that regardless of advancement in agricultural field, there is a majority of individuals who still faces hunger. This essay will spotlights the major caused to this and the steps that can resolve this problem.
To begin with, one of the most significant reason is that most of the governments exports the agricultural product only because of high demand in the world that leads to the unsufficient supply of food within the country. This leads to the increase in agrarian crises. Additionally, increase in the population is also a major reason to this. The agricultural land are used to overcome the residancial issues that cause limited production and alternativly the supply is also very limited. Countries like Pakistan exports their major of agricultural products to maintain the economy and an increase in residencial society is also noted in place of farming area.
Several measures could adress this problem. First of all the governments should pay attention to their local consumption of food. Once this this done they can easily export the remainings as the demand is still alive throughout the world. Moreover, proper cultivation on agricultural land should be under consideration. There should be more developement in veritical way in terms of buildings and appartments rather than using a fresh land for residential mangement.
To sum up, gaining more remetance from exports is beneficial but priority should be the native people. In this both the public and governments gets enough of thir desires.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you identify exports and population growth as causes, then propose prioritising domestic food needs and building vertically to preserve farmland. The Pakistan example gives the discussion some specificity. However, the response only partially develops these points. For instance, it says exports lead to insufficient local supply but does not explain how policy or unequal access contributes to hunger; the population point also needs clearer explanation. The proposed measures are relevant, but their likely impact is asserted rather than supported. The conclusion is difficult to interpret and does not clearly restate how the solutions address the causes. The response is three words below the required minimum, so it does not meet the task’s length requirement. Develop each main idea with a clear explanation or example and ensure the response reaches the minimum length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally logical, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Additionally,” and “To sum up” help readers follow the main stages. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with several ideas joined by “also” or “and” rather than showing their precise relationship. The transition from population growth to land conversion, for example, would be clearer if the cause-and-effect link were explicitly stated. Some references are unclear, particularly “In this” in the conclusion, and the final sentence does not connect smoothly to the preceding point. Use clearer links between claims and make pronoun references explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “agricultural products,” “agrarian crises,” “cultivation,” and “exports,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “problem,” “reason,” and “major,” while several inaccurate word choices or collocations make the writing less natural. Examples include “spotlights the major caused,” “unsufficient supply,” and “remainings”; spelling errors such as “residancial” and “developement” also reduce accuracy. Some expressions, including “residential mangement” and “native people,” are unclear or unsuitable for the intended meaning. Build a more precise vocabulary for food distribution, agricultural land, and food security, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including a relative clause in “the world that leads to…” and a comparison with “rather than.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Agreement errors appear in “individuals who still faces hunger,” “the agricultural land are used,” and “governments gets.” There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence construction, as in “one of the most significant reason” and “an increase in residencial society is also noted in place of farming area.” The opening sentence and the conclusion are difficult to parse, and missing spaces after full stops affect punctuation. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build longer sentences around one clear main clause.
