Student answer (Band 5.0)

well, agriculture is the back bone of the economy of a country, thats why most of countries focus in advancement in the field of agriculture. To grow a crops you don,t need only a land but and also required latest and developed technology such sa modren machinery etc. but besdies this modernism in aagriculture still many peoples worldwidely go hungry and i will discuss this in the following essay.

overall, if we look all over the world in the field of agriculture, they make it easy to grow different types of crops with the help of modren technoloy. They introduce adavance machnieries whic is quite is easy to handle, but with modrenism in agriculture it getting very expensive for farmers to afford such heavy and advance machineries. Because many of our farmers are from poor background.Secondly, many of the farmers are uneducated and they don,t understand the uasage advances in the field of agriculture.

im my opinion, to comeover this problems, we have many ways in which i am going to discuss.firstly, to make it affordable of the upto date technology the government needs to introduce different schemes for the farmers such as some kind of installment plans. futhermore, the gonverments have to launch different sessions for farmers in their local language to teach them about the usage of modren technology in the agriculture, and there are many ways to guide them by the help of media, and arrange some physical sessions programs in different areas.

lastly, development in agriculture with the passage of time is very important, but besides this we having look after the poor farmers by lowering the price of the machineries or introduce some installments plans for them. and to make them know about advancement arrange some different kind of sessions through media and physically.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions by identifying the cost of modern machinery and farmers’ limited knowledge as reasons for hunger, then proposing government payment schemes and training. These points are relevant, and the conclusion returns to the proposed solutions. However, the explanation remains limited: it does not clearly show how these barriers lead to food shortages or why hunger persists despite agricultural advances. The causes and solutions are also presented broadly, with no specific example or supporting detail to develop them. Your position is understandable, but the response only partially fulfils the task because the main ideas need clearer explanation and support. To strengthen it, explain the link between unaffordable equipment, lower productivity and food access, and illustrate one solution with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its main sections. However, progression within and between these sections is limited. Phrases such as “overall,” “Secondly,” “firstly,” and “lastly” provide basic signposting, but the repeated use of “modern technology” and the return to installment plans in the conclusion make the development feel repetitive rather than cumulative. Some links are also unclear, particularly the opening paragraph’s move from agriculture’s importance to the essay’s focus. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, explain it, and then show its consequence or give an example. Use referencing and transitions to connect ideas rather than relying mainly on sequencing words.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “machineries,” “farmers,” “installment plans,” and “local language,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the meaning harder to follow: “focus in advancement,” “the usage advances,” and “comeover this problems” are examples. Spelling and word-form errors are also noticeable, including “modren,” “aagriculture,” and “gonverments.” Repetition of “modern” and “different” further restricts precision. Aim to learn accurate collocations and vary key terms—for example, use “invest in agricultural development,” “use advanced equipment,” and “overcome these problems.” Proofreading for spelling and word forms would also make your ideas clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause beginning “Because many of our farmers…” and a sentence linking government schemes with training. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles and verb forms occur frequently enough to make reading difficult. For example, “To grow a crops you don,t need only a land but and also required…” has problems with articles, agreement and sentence construction; “it getting very expensive” lacks an auxiliary verb; and “we having look after” is not a correct verb pattern. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly attached supporting clause, then check articles, verb forms and subject–verb agreement.
