Student answer (Band 6.0)
Agriculture sector serves as a vital contributor to the sustainibility of economic as well as social areas of a country. Despite several advances, several people are still suffering from hunger significantly because of lack of efficient action plans made by governments. In my opinion, this serious crisis is totally manageable and can be overcome by building strong policies related to allocation of budgets.
A major contributing factor to such hunger crisis is the inefficient governmental decisions. There is a huge lack in planning made by decision makers in the allocation of resources and how much agricultural products exacly to be invested in the international trade. Although introducing new technologies and improving national economy benefits both people and their governments, their excess can affect people working in this industry and thereby affects their incomes, which leads to hunger. Moreover, such advancements cost higher budgets, therefore, authorities could not play their workers enough to improve their lifestyles. For instance, wage of farmers is comparatively low to other sectors, which is a major reason of this hunger directly caused by governments.
However, this problem can be resolved if planned carefully. Firstly, governments need to plan their budgets accordingly. Increasing workers' salaries would help overcome the hunger issue. In this way, both farmers will be encouraged and the industry will benefit by having more workers. Secondly, investing only on technologies that are enough to run agricultural industry can help maintain the efficiency of budgets. Furthermore, if limitations are made in international trade and used for own people, it will greatly help people to purchase food in lower rates.
In conclusion, suffering from hunger is a concerning issue that needs urgent attention. Lack of infrastructure, inefficient planning of budgets, and lower salaries of employees are the biggest contributing factors, which leads to hunger. However, this issue is completely reversible if changes are made in the incomes of workers as well as planning of resources.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions and maintain a clear view that hunger can be reduced through better government planning. The discussion of low farmer wages and budget allocation is relevant, and the example comparing farmers’ wages with those in other sectors helps illustrate one cause. However, the explanation of why agricultural advances coexist with hunger is not fully clear: the link between technology, international trade, workers’ incomes and food access needs to be explained more precisely. The proposed measures—raising salaries, limiting investment in technology and restricting exports—are relevant but are not developed equally; for example, explain how export limits would make food more affordable or available to people who are hungry. More specific support would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Firstly” and “Secondly” help readers identify the stages of your argument. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and also shows some flexibility in linking ideas. To make progression more consistently clear, strengthen the connections between claims: the shift from agricultural technology to low wages, for instance, needs an explicit explanation. Some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Moreover” and “Furthermore,” and “In this way” does not clearly identify which benefit it refers to. Use more precise referencing and vary how you connect cause, consequence and solution.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “allocation of resources,” “international trade,” “agricultural industry” and “contributing factors.” These choices allow you to discuss both causes and possible responses, and some less common expressions are attempted. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “suffering from hunger significantly,” “a huge lack in planning,” and “play their workers enough.” Spelling errors in “sustainibility,” “exacly” and “benefits” (where “benefits” is used with an unclear subject) also reduce precision. Communication remains understandable, but more accurate collocations and careful proofreading would make the vocabulary more controlled. Prefer direct, natural phrasing over abstract combinations that do not quite fit the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses beginning “Although” and “if,” and most ideas remain understandable. There are some grammatical errors, however, in agreement, verb forms and sentence construction. For example, “their excess can affect people … and thereby affects their incomes” shifts from “can affect” to “affects,” while “which leads to hunger” does not agree clearly with the plural causes it refers to. In “authorities could not play their workers enough,” the intended verb pattern is also unclear. The final sentence, “which leads to hunger,” repeats the agreement problem. Review subject–verb agreement and keep parallel structures consistent, especially in longer sentences. Greater accuracy in these areas would improve control without sacrificing your range.
