Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions by identifying possible causes—poverty, unequal distribution, conflict and climate change—and suggesting government support, agricultural assistance and farmer education. These are relevant directions, but several points are only briefly stated or unclear. For instance, “lack of education, proper skill and knowledge” is named as a cause without explaining how it leads to hunger, while the example about religion and caste is difficult to interpret. The proposed measures also need clearer links to the causes: explain how employment or farmer allowances would improve access to food or production. Your overall position is present, but the conclusion is vague rather than drawing together the main causes and solutions. Develop fewer ideas with specific explanations or examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally understandable, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “Firstly,” and “Secondly” help the reader follow the main sections. However, connections within paragraphs are sometimes mechanical or unclear. The sentence beginning “Although farming can also be a proper source” does not clearly connect to the preceding point about education, and “For example” introduces an example whose relationship to food distribution is not explained. Some references, including “this problem” and “this specific crisis,” remain broad. Make each paragraph follow a clear cause-and-explanation or solution-and-result sequence, and use linking phrases only where the relationship between ideas is explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “unequal distribution,” “agricultural policy,” “employment opportunities,” and “sustainable farming,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts to use more formal language. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making the meaning harder to understand: “go starve,” “benefits made in agriculture,” “allowence to farmers,” and “get rid out of this major problem” are examples. Spelling errors such as “goverment,” “adress,” and “techinques” also reduce accuracy. Build a reliable set of natural phrases for discussing hunger and policy, and check spelling and word forms. More precise wording would make your relevant ideas clearer without requiring more complicated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “Although” and a relative clause in “families which are deprived from basic needs.” This shows some range, but control is uneven, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “One of the major reason is,” “others experience less than necessary which causes,” and “wars and global warming also plays,” where agreement, sentence construction or punctuation needs attention. The sentence beginning “Finally, educating farmers” is also a fragment rather than a complete sentence. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, and whether each sentence has a clear main clause. Aim to make complex sentences accurate before adding further complexity.
