Student answer (Band 5.5)

Go hangry has beocome an increasingly common issue in many countries despite the agricultural advancements. There are several reasons why this trend has become widespread, particularly lack of awareness or an increase in the population in cities. I believe that these problems can be addressed through appropiate measures such as providing awarance and increaseing the agriculture land.

One of the main problem assosiated with this trend is an increase of the population in the cities. A significant number of people are moving from rural areas to cities and they are leaving their agricultral land. In addition, many people may not aware about agricultural advacements. This can also leads to low production. For example, the government provides several agricultural facilities to the farmer but they do not know how to utilize these facilites. Therefore, due to lack of awareness, farmer may not use the tools and techniques properly, this lead to several difficulties in agriculture.

One effective solution to overcome this problem is that government and higher authorties should encourages farmer and provide an awareness related to these concerns. This can possible by arranging workshops and facilitate indivuduals about a particular problem. Furthuremore, They can provide more land to farmer and provide suffiecent facilities. For instance, many farmers are not fimilier with the use particular advancements, the government should provide sufficent information to them. As a result, once individiuals are became aware of these advancements they can utlize it and improve overall production.

In conclusion, despite the agricultural advancements, many people around the world still go hungry, particularly this is due to lack of awareness, I beleive that these problems can be addressed through measures such as providing sufficent information and exta land for aggriculture.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions and maintain a relevant position: you identify limited awareness and movement from rural areas to cities as causes, then propose workshops, information for farmers, and additional land. These points are supported with an example about farmers not knowing how to use government-provided facilities. However, the explanation is only partly convincing: the link between urban migration and hunger is asserted rather than traced, and “increase the agriculture land” is not explained as a practical response. The essay therefore covers the task, but several ideas remain general or under-developed. To strengthen it, explain how each cause reduces food availability or access, and develop each solution with a clear mechanism or specific example. The response meets the required length; the eight words copied from the prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow, and signposts such as “One of the main problem” and “One effective solution” help distinguish the sections. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with repeated links such as “For example,” “Therefore,” and “As a result.” Some connections are also unclear: the move from people leaving rural areas to low production needs a more explicit explanation, while the conclusion repeats the introduction rather than drawing the causes and solutions together. Use referencing and linking more precisely, and organise each body paragraph around a developed central point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “agricultural advancements,” “rural areas,” “production,” “workshops,” and “techniques,” so the reader can understand the subject and your proposed responses. However, the range is limited and several word-choice or collocation problems make the writing less natural, such as “providing an awareness,” “increase the agriculture land,” and “familiar with the use particular advancements.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “aggriculture,” “sufficent,” and “facilites.” These issues sometimes make the reader pause, even though the main meaning is generally recoverable. Build a more accurate set of topic collocations and proofread spelling; for example, use “raise farmers’ awareness” and “expand the area of cultivated land.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a relative clause in “facilities to the farmer but they do not know how to utilize these facilities” and a conditional structure beginning “once individuals are became aware.” However, the range is limited, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently. Examples include “One of the main problem,” “This can also leads,” “government and higher authorities should encourages,” and “once individuals are became aware.” These errors can make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise checking the subject and verb in each clause, and use one consistent verb form after modal verbs and linking expressions. More accurate control of these patterns would make your complex sentences clearer.
