Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent days, agriculture sector is transformed totally with the help of technology and scientific knowledge about crops. However, a significant proportion of population is still hungry around the world. There are several reasons of this case such as increasing population and raising demand of people. While, goverments and citizens equally contribute their share to reduce this problem.

On the one hand, the major reason behind this issue is increasing population because the food consuming demand of people is raising day by day and it promotes expensiveness. For instance, if the cost of daily survival food is increased it affects heavily on low income people and also put bad effect on their life, they may face numerous difficulties to manage their livelihoods. Moreover, in modern world the agriculture sector is equipped with advance technologies but people not only loses their interest in agriculture but also choose other professions according to their perferences and remaining community is not able to produce sufficient food for the the world population. Thus, the rate of hunger is raising day by day especisally, in poor countries around the world.

However, there are few steps which can be fruitful to minimize hunger problem around the world. Firstly, governments should not only aware citizens about the value of food but also encourage them to save and donate extra food to needy persons. Inaddition, authorities should promotes agricultural profession in between younger generation through social lectures and adding some courses in their studies to aware them about the value and role of farmers in country development. A good example of this can be economy share, farmering community have largest share in any country economy as compare to other sectors like IT and banking.

In conclusion, it can be said that the agriculture sector is equipped with new technologies and have more professionalist to grow large number of crops. But at the same time this sector is not capable to fullfil world's population demand. However, government should aware citizens about value of food saving and encourage them to donate extra food to needy and poor people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus on hunger, giving population growth and rising food costs as causes and suggesting food-saving, donation, and agricultural education as responses. The examples about low-income people and encouraging young people to enter farming help make the discussion concrete. However, the explanation of why hunger persists is only partly developed: population growth is linked to demand and prices, but the response does not explain other major factors such as poverty, conflict, unequal distribution, or food waste in enough detail. The claim that people are losing interest in agriculture is also asserted rather than supported. Develop fewer causes more fully and explain how each proposed measure would reduce hunger.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover,” and “Firstly” helps readers follow the main stages. However, some links are mechanical or do not express the relationship precisely. “While” at the end of the introduction does not connect the ideas correctly, and “However” introduces solutions without a clear contrast. Within the causes paragraph, the move from population growth and prices to people leaving agriculture could be explained more smoothly. The conclusion also repeats the proposed food-saving measure rather than drawing together the main causes and solutions. Use clearer links between claims and their explanations.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “agriculture sector,” “low income people,” “agricultural profession,” and “donate extra food.” These choices make the subject clear, and you attempt more formal expressions such as “minimize hunger problem.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “food consuming demand,” “promotes expensiveness,” “professionalist,” and “economy share.” Spelling errors such as “goverments,” “perferences,” and “farmering” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural, precise combinations rather than translating phrases directly: for example, “rising demand for food,” “pushes up prices,” and “the agricultural workforce.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would make your meaning more consistently clear.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “if the cost…” and a contrast structure with “not only…but also.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors in sentence construction and agreement occur often enough to affect fluency. For example, “people not only loses” should use a plural verb, while “authorities should promotes” should be “authorities should promote.” Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “agriculture sector is transformed” requires an article, and “While, goverments…” is an incomplete, incorrectly punctuated clause. Some long sentences combine several claims, making grammatical control harder. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, complete clauses, and punctuation, then check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
