Student answer (Band 5.5)
Althogh many advancements are done in agriculture fields, however basic needs of people such as; food, shelter and clothes are not completed.Individuls in many nations still face starvation and do not get one time meal. There are multifarious reasons behind this, which can be solved by the government as well as people contribution.
On the one hand, the first and formost reason is over population. To explain it,in many countries the number of people increase day by day and it is difficult for regime to provide job for all citizens. As a result, people do not get jobs and fulfill their basic needs.Another significiant reason is incresing in price of food and wasting of food. People sometimes when they go outside they waste a lot of food which is crucial for others and the price of food iteams went up day by day, therefore poor people can not buy food for themselves and their families.
On the other hand, although there are some reasons ,it can be reduce with the help of government and individuals.Fistly,policy-maker provide job opportunities to the citizens so that ,they can earn some mony and buy food for themselves. Moreover, government raise the awareness among people that they do not waste the food. For example, people take small portion of food so that they can not throw food if they do not need.
To conclude, eventhough, over population and increasing in food pices are the main reasons why people face hunger,it can be solved with the help of regime and individuals.beacuse if the government do nothing it may possible that the siuation become worse in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you identify population growth, food prices and waste as causes, then suggest employment opportunities and public awareness as responses. These points are relevant, and the example of taking smaller portions helps illustrate how individuals could reduce waste. However, the explanation remains general and some links to hunger are not fully established—for instance, the connection between population growth, employment and food access needs clearer development. The proposed government response is also limited to jobs and awareness; more specific measures, such as improving food distribution or supporting low-income households, would strengthen the answer. Your conclusion restates the main points, but the overall discussion does not yet develop its ideas sufficiently or make the solutions fully convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “To conclude” helps readers follow the broad organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined mechanically with “and,” “as a result” or “therefore.” For example, the sentence about food prices and waste combines two causes without clearly separating or explaining them. Some references are also vague, as in “it can be reduce,” where the reader must infer what “it” refers to. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain its effect and support it with a specific example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “starvation,” “basic needs,” “job opportunities” and “awareness,” and the meaning is generally recoverable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “policy-maker” and “multifarious reasons.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear or natural: “Althogh,” “Individuls,” “incresing,” “food iteams” and “pices.” Some collocations are awkward, including “one time meal” and “raise the awareness.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. Using precise terms such as “food insecurity,” “food affordability” and “food distribution” would help you explain the issue more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures such as “As a result” and a conditional idea in the conclusion. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “the number of people increase” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “it can be reduce” uses an incorrect verb form. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: the opening joins clauses with “however” without appropriate punctuation, and several sentences contain comma splices or run-on structures. These frequent errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, passive forms and clause punctuation, then use a mix of shorter sentences and carefully controlled complex sentences.
