Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions by identifying causes such as war, weak government, transport disruption and poverty, then proposing market regulation and assistance to disconnected regions. This is relevant to the task, and the conclusion returns to government action. However, the explanation is only partly developed: for example, you mention that war affects imports and transport but do not explain how this leads to food shortages or why agricultural advances fail to reach people. The proposed roles for governments, major countries and the World Health Organization are also difficult to distinguish and need clearer, specific actions. A more explicit central answer and developed examples would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has an overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through the answer. Within paragraphs, however, ideas are often joined in long, unclear sequences, as in the discussion beginning “because when countries war each other,” where war, transport, resources and government control are combined without clear transitions. Linking phrases such as “on the other side” and “and other reason” are sometimes awkward or do not show the relationship precisely. The conclusion also repeats earlier points rather than clearly synthesising them. Separate each cause and solution into focused sentences, and use clear references and transitions to show how each idea connects.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “production,” “supply and demand,” “transport system” and “strict law,” so the reader can identify the main subject and some key concepts. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations and spellings make meaning harder to follow. Phrases such as “business man are control supply and demand” and “transport are quilety low” are not expressed naturally, while repeated use of “problem,” “serious” and “countries” limits precision. Spelling errors such as “globle,” “recorses” and “affrican” also reduce clarity. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; for instance, use “food distribution” and “affordable food prices.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “when” and “because.” This shows an effort to explain causes rather than relying only on short statements. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms can make the relationships between ideas difficult to understand. For example, “when countries war each other and its create major impact” lacks a correct verb pattern and has unclear agreement; “some business man are control” also has an incorrect verb construction. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly in the long cause paragraph. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add one clearly controlled subordinate clause at a time.
