Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern era , the issue of food cruisis has become highly controvertial . Advancement in agricutural sector occured , however a group of people face hunger globally . I would investigate its majour causes behind this phenomenon along with usefull stepts to control it in further pharagraphs .

Ostensibly , there are number of reasons why some believe that citizens still hungry infact , high production is occured . Perhaps the main reason is that bad climate condition , there are multiferious farmers yielding field in order to grow crops they spend there time to cultivate crops but when it comes it harvest the mature crops faced bad conditions because rain occur which destroy every plant . It puts fincial stress on them . For example , in 2018, india faced crisis because of heavy rain fall and floods . Additionally ,it requires money to buy food but some people dont have money they depend on higher authoroties because of some curropt officers food does not go in right hands .

Despite these challanges , there are several mesures that can mitigate this problem . The first and foremost is that financial support to farmers . Because of bad cltivaed crops they feel demotivated and its does not give fair price of crops i recommend that government give some releif from loans extant the time period of return owing to this, famers more keen to grow food and can aware from these challanges in advance . Moreover , higher rank officer should keep eyes on those officers who take bribe and should suspend them .

Finally, i would say that financial support to farmar to harvest more crops and strict actions should be taken by the government .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions: you identify crop losses caused by severe weather and unequal access to food linked to poverty and corruption, then suggest financial support for farmers and action against bribery. These are relevant causes and solutions, and the India example gives one point some support. However, the explanation is uneven and at times unclear: the weather-related account does not explain how food shortages persist despite agricultural advances, while the link between farmers’ loans and greater food availability needs to be made more explicit. The conclusion repeats the proposed actions rather than drawing the main causes and solutions together. Develop each point with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation and a more specific example to make the response more fully addressed and supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally understandable, and signposts such as “Additionally,” “Moreover,” and “Finally” help show the direction of the discussion. However, some linking is mechanical, and connections within sentences are not always clear. For example, “Perhaps the main reason is that bad climate condition” leads into a long, loosely connected account of farming and rainfall, making the relationship between ideas difficult to follow. The conclusion also repeats earlier points without synthesising them. Use shorter, more clearly organised sentences, and make references explicit so readers can follow how each cause leads to hunger and how each solution addresses it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “financial support,” “harvest,” “corrupt officers,” and “strict actions.” These choices show an effort to discuss agriculture and government responses, but the range is limited and frequent spelling, word-form, and collocation errors sometimes make meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “food cruisis,” “agricutural,” “bad climate condition,” and “higher authoroties.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “keep eyes on those officers” and “aware from these challanges.” Build accuracy with common topic collocations and check spelling carefully. Prefer precise expressions such as “monitor officials” and “prepare for these challenges,” and avoid using ambitious vocabulary unless you are confident it fits the sentence.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional-style explanation of crop damage and clauses introduced by “because” and “owing to this.” However, complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to follow, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur frequently. For instance, “there are number of reasons why some believe that citizens still hungry” is missing grammatical elements, while “high production is occured” uses an incorrect verb construction. The sentence beginning “Perhaps the main reason is that bad climate condition” also joins ideas without a clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms before combining ideas.
